You're welcome. I want to do an Animal Farm video, but because there is already so much content out there on that text, I've been prioritizing other things.
Understandable, however, most of us like the way you explain and analyze the poems, plays, etc. And we, as students, tend to learn better with what we understand. I already wrote that exam last week or so, but for those upcoming, I'm sure they'd appreciate it, and yet again, thank you for your help with these subjects.

for me magwould you say that the device of magical realism is used in this play with regards to the character anasi and the forest of stories?
That's an interesting thought. Usually, magical realism involves adding magical elements to a realistic world, but I guess we somewhat see that happening here as the forest of stories parallel and even blend with the real world.

Hey! You said calling anansi tricks is alittle harsh ...however he did use his tricks to try and steal the spot light from soliday ... accepting the reward which he did not work for and if the king had an available daughter he would have accepted that too! 😂

@@AdamWebbCSEC ok please hear me out... i see anansi as type of vilian...because Girl use the stories to gain comfort, acceptance, and have a stronger state of mind against the white people (the masters) but why was anansi tricking people ? What was his reason for deception? What did tiger do to him? For him to humiliate him and eat his fat, belittling him...what was his reason for tricking everyone? I mean to say I can understand tricking Her and mancrow being killed but snake? Anansi wanted fame as u said and fortune so he used deception..is that a good thing? I can understand if anansi was doing this to save him self or survive like Girl but he wasn't ...right?... Maybe I'm wrong but it was just what I thought after I read the play and by the way I loved the play and the crash course!

could a theme in anasi be irony
eg how the white ppl act as their better than and above the black ppl but both black and white ppl caught the same sickness showing that sickness doesn't discriminate and the same sickness that kill a black man can kill a white man, showing that in sickness eyes they are equal.
as well as in the begining of the play the girl was afraid of spider but by the end she somewhat admire anasi and see him as kind of a role model.
Those are good examples of irony! That wouldn't be a theme but instead one of the main literary devices in the play.
