This video was so sad to make though. Honestly. Had me upsettttttttt.

Ace is the perfectly written tragedy. From the moment he was born he was hunted by the navy. He only ever had three happy times in his life. With Sabo and Luffy, with his pirates and on whitebeards crew. The rest of his life, he struggled and was one if if not THE greatest character in anime for me. I even resonated with his devil fruit, which is the power ive wished for my entire life
Ace was happy when he died too he finally realized that the people around him love him he always questioned if he deserved to live
The moment Luffy says "ace is my only brother i have in the world" . How dare you make me cry ! this video is great !!!

I watched Marineford so many times that I usually don't cry anymore but this amv made me cry like a baby. The combination of the music the voice and the visuals is perfect. I don't know how anyone can watch this amv without crying.

The moment in the enies lobby where luffy stated that he knew very well who they’re fighting, it must have something to do with sabo’s death considering what dadan said….
I have two wonderful friends who saved my life. So one day I said to them that they were my saviors and with this : we decided to become sisters like ASL. For the fun we decided to have a ASL hat for each of us. I have Luffy's, the oldest have Ace's and the other girl have Sabo's.
So of course ASL became our favorite characters ❤😄

Even without the music my heart broke, with the music my heart just shattered into a million pieces. I'm sad that Ace died but what really broke me down was the fact how the brothers reacted to his death and how ASL just ended. This is a wonderful AMV/ASMV, very beautiful it gets me all the time. Keep up the good work while I just go to the corner and cry for another 5 hours.

Underrated moment in this arc and the entirety of One Piece. Must be so tough for someone who didn't really "show" his emotions. A turning point for Ace's character for sure.

There could be multiple reasons. Maybe you're just really good at differentiating reality from fiction so it doesn't affect you (although this also requires you to have little empathy). It's also possible that you do not relate to the theme of brotherhood maybe stemming from your real life.
For example, I feel no emotions when an animal dies in an anime/movie etc beyond feeling second hand sadness for the humanish who lost it (again empathy) but I know some people who get really emotional. This is because I personally have no pets and never had one. Pets dying is a theme i cannot relate with.
You know how luffy now wears an open vest? Ace did the same when he set tail..it broke my heart when I thought about it...💔
