Many mechanics are acting tough when replacing a clutch while being comfy standing dry in their garage. You are doing this on driveways/outside no matter the weather. My deep respect !
Kevin there is no words to describe what a grafter you are on the road all the reat of the mobile mech are playing at it not a peep out of you brilliant video you tube
Could it be that the oil leak will lubricate the new clutch? so that it doesn't have to be taken apart again soon. happened to me recently. top job as allways 👊🏻
Hello kevin, this is a cry for help and i fully understand if you do not feel disposed to give it. I have a Citroen dispatch 2001 tdi and i fitted a new clutch but after two attempts i cannot stop the bearing pulling out of the snap ring groove on the pressure plate. Iv tried to find data on this but there doesn't seem to be any available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you follow the procedure of locking the bearing inside pressure plate first. You need to pull the fork maybe will a lever bar to lock them in together. Do not push first. You have to pull to lock them together. Hope that helps.
Thanks for responding, I really do appreciate it, the first time I did it it drove 30 miles before it went to the floor, the second time it didn't leave the drive before it came out. Both times it seemed to engage and the second time I tried the bearing in the pressure plate before assembly and it clicked in place. I know I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what, it's the most stupid idea iv ever come across have you ever had trouble with these?
Do you engage the fork with the bearing before installing the box? Then engage the fork with the bearing with a lever? I put the bearing in the fork then operated the clutch is that the wrong way?
Yes that is correct. There is two clutch listed. The difference lies in the pressure plate on thickness. And it’s correct you have to take old one out to know for sure. Noise you are describing sounds like the pressure plate spring is broken.
@@WMCS cheers pall I've fitted loads of clutches but on a ramp lol bolts always suplyed at work, good to no I can reuse 👍sure you have as well on ramps, ive.done some on floor not the easiest, u make it look easy or is that the editing lol good work and videos 👍

How much do you estimate the weight of this gearbox?
90KGB
You no longer do gearbox services
💪🏻🙏🏻
What's the size of your breaker bar tube? Is it galvanised?
Check tool video on channel. It’s a solid stainless
@WMCS ok. What's wall thickness and length and diameter?
But what if you have to change the whole transmission, what are we going to do then?
Nothing to it but to do it.
❤❤❤👍🍻
You no longer fitting clutches? All the videos now seem to be repeats now. Not a negative comment just hope all is ok?👍
Grafter!
