The best of both worlds. Actual handling finesse, driver enjoyment outside of a straight line, German build quality, a satisfying noise - but quiet relaxing when it needs to be, all backed up with an extensive network of fuelling stations. Wonderful.
Indeed. This is the stuff that got me into Top Gear, in the Tiff days (I was quite young). Don't have to be daft to allow humour in car news & reviews. Good point, that hadn't really occurred to me (probably won't be able to 'not see it' for while now - I'm less thankful should that occur. :)
+soundslave lol here come the 'intellectual' elitists; i watch both shows for what they are (gt & fullycharged), and they're both entertaining/informative; no need to be a childish edgelord
K mate. I just remember the decent Top Gear before it was dumbed down. Compare early Jezza, May and Hammond to today. It is ghastly how far they've devolved.
The quality of your reviews is unbelievable. The visuals as well as the casual but very professional infotainment style. But since I am a nitpicking German: The e in "Porsche" isn't silent ("Porsh-uh").
+Henrik Wallin Just type "about:config" into firefox, accept the terms, search for "copy" and change the variable that mentions "clipboard" to "false". Afterwards you *can* copy/paste into youtube on firefox.
Jeremy Schmidt lets say I had the money to spend. 15 mins ago I would have said Tesla without a doubt. But this is a very impressive looking car. More so than the model S. It has made me think....
R I don't like the idea of a plug-in hybrid in general; too much complexity. You basically have all of the downsides of both drive trains. That's the only thing that really turns me away from the Panamera. There is lot to love about it, definitely more luxurious and in certain ways even more advanced than Tesla.
Jeremy Schmidt I agree. Generally I'm not a fan of hybrids as they are half measures and I'd rather a full electric. Still, at least this car can be driven at low speeds in a town or city without polluting the streets. Better than nothing. At least until driving a petrol car is as socially unacceptable as smoking say.
R Hopefully the Porsche Mission E (I guess it's the "Taycan" now...) will be as nice as Panamera. And surely Tesla will improve their interior. At any rate I'm sure we'll have plenty of really great EVs coming in a few years. Until then this is a good transition vehicle.
at least in germany the 100D is more slightly more expensive and the only lower model you can choose is the 75D which would be up there if you could still choose the "P"... maybe that's where he's coming from.. but i think there is more than 1 flaw in this comparison.. :D
I have the unofficial P75D or 75DU as it's been called, it's the older 75D with the extra 95hp 'uncorked'... this free upgrade was introduced to most of the older 75D cars where possible when the 0-60 dropped from 5.2 to 4.2 on new 75Ds Officially it's just a 75D
Good review. To those scorning it, remember we need to work to get all drivers on board to effectively change the world. Cars like this allow people to take baby steps into the EV world. Today I drive a plug-in hybrid because I often have to take long trips on Texas highways which still lack charging stations. My Leaf could never make those trips. This new Porsche is a helpful step on the road to full electrification, if a bit of a silly waste of cash.
This is why I think Fully Charged is so great. Its not binary, it looks at all the options out there. Well done on another great review and on a very succesful Fully Charged Live weekend.
The quality of this review is astonishing... You absolutely couldn't do it better. I have nothing but praises and compliments, and I'm a tough customer :D Jonny, thank you . Astonishing.
I think plug-in hybrids are the perfect combination right now (the future is fully electric of course). I could commute fully electric and have long distance trips in hybrid mode. I won't wake up my neighbours in the morning when I go to work early and I don't pollute where people live.
Plug in hybrids with decent daily drive ranges are the future. BEVs will remain a niche, for applications where you essentially never have to drive it long distance, or in the smaller luxury market. Mass market will be dominated by mild hybrids and PHEVs.
I'm loving the review. You are not simply reading straight from Porsche's Marketing-leaflet but rather it feels like you have seriously thought about how you feel about the car and then present in an engaging yet calm manner. It is a very welcome counter-weight to the usual Michael-Bay-esque reviews of other formats. You again manage to keep me hooked with information. And the production value (shots, audio quality of your voice et cetera) is impeccable. Very well done.
I really need to sort out cancelling my tv license and putting it all into FC patreon. Jonny you are easily the most stylish motoring journalist, even in double denim.
Great thoughtful review, great production quality. You and Rob are great hosts with complementary skills. Where Rob excels at promoting the overall „green“ topic, you are „petrol head“ enough to give car reviews this credibility that car lovers like to see. This is promoting ev change at its best. Great job!
I actually bought this exact car. I previously had a Tesla Model S that was written off by a Kia jumping a red light. I did 120,000 in the Tesla. Different beasts but Porsche is so much better quality fit and finish. Tech is better in the Porsche with Innovate and in the 20k I have driven it in 5 months it has been more reliable than my Tesla. I do miss the instant torque of the S. I did a round trip from South Wales to Horsham in West Sussex. It was more tiring in the Porsche but only because it would take a couple of hours charging the Tesla so I would be more rested lol
I am glad that Robert was obviously having an afternoon nap when you edited this video. Like you, I am being encouraged towards the all-electric car. It is pretty awesome.
Lovely car and such a good, no actually I think its the best review Ive seen in a long time. No silliness. Just straightforward explanation of features and options. Definitely going to get the 21” wheel upgrade, I wish.
I had this video on in the background for like 10 minutes before I looked up at the television and saw that it was Jonny 😬 Nice to see him . I'll subscribe
I will enjoy the "Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid", commuting 24 miles round trip from my house to the office, driving from stop sign to stop sign, stoplight to stoplight, bumper to bumper on the tollway looking for the exit. >:)
Great video as always guys. Thank you for showcasing beautiful engineering even if not a true EV. We are in a transition phase in motoring and every iteration of EV technology is important. What a stunning car, the interior is stunning - keeping the joy of driving alive!
One of the reasons I prefer a Porsche rather than a Tesla is the quality of that interior. Not saying that the Tesla's interior is bad, but the fit and finish of all of the components inside Porsche's cars is something else. Looking forward to the review of the Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid.
I used to love the look of the Rover 2000 cars of the 80s. The long low streamlined look. They're quite dated now, but any new car that reminds me of that shape, like this guy, has my vote.
You ended up at Burton Dasset hills, last time I took a car up there it was my first car a Talbot Horizon, which I took to like you to take photographs on the night before I sold it. It was worth less than some of those Porsche Plastic flaps, although it had a full tank of petrol so it was worth more than the slide film I used in those pre digital age.
Great review. Your brain is wired the same as mine. Love driving too and from work EV then finding a B road with no cameras or traffic and listening to the engine. So pleased to own this and other last of dinosaurs. The build quality is perfect. I'm not a dreamer I had a real choice between tesla and Porsche. Easy to slag off either from your armchair without ever having a hope in hell of owning either. The tesla was great fun for an hour but the Panamera puts a smile on your face every day and even my electric loving friends just love the looks build quality and yes the sound of that engine.
Nice review Jonny, must have taken you back a bit to the old days …. i’m not a fan of the car but they do seem popular and I agree that the body is better. I think its a good demonstration of 918 development into production vehicles and a good insight into what Taycan and the rest of the BEVs will be from Porsche.
These reviews just keep getting better and better. Interested in seeing a review of the Bentley now you have brought up the subject. I hope when the all electric comes out you get the chance to give us a review... or will Rob take that one ;) ER
I have to ask this.. so while driving in the ePorsche is this against the law to use the centre controls is as the same as using a Bluetooth mobile phone. So close to the law maybe changed that you can’t touch the controls while driving.
The best of both worlds. Actual handling finesse, driver enjoyment outside of a straight line, German build quality, a satisfying noise - but quiet relaxing when it needs to be, all backed up with an extensive network of fuelling stations. Wonderful.
Love these calm, thoughtful reviews. Exactly what TopG and GrandT are not. Love the production quality also.
Well put, Stupify.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

TG and GrandT producers think viewers have a 5 second attention span and need explosions to hold our focus.

It's pronounced Porker actually 😂😂😂

I believe there is a Friends episode about how the correct pronunciation makes you sound like a pretentious snob. 😄
This annoyed me to, but people will say things the way they want to say them, and there’s nothing you or I can do about it
Benjamin Batchelor Zim zimmer... who had the keys to me Bimmer?...
Damn you, Fully Charged. I was going to bed, but now I'm up for another 20 minutes. 😂
Same here, nice review!
That's so me :D
Crash Box Masturbating.. Me too.
Jonny is amazing, full stop. Fully Charged is simply the best RUclips channel out there.
Fantastic review Jonny!! I'm a Tesla guy but I can't help but appreciate the luxury and quality of the Panamera.
Jeremy Schmidt lets say I had the money to spend. 15 mins ago I would have said Tesla without a doubt. But this is a very impressive looking car. More so than the model S. It has made me think....

Teslas are so cheap on the inside

P75D? Now that’s a rare Tesla Jonny
John vanDieken does he know something we don't? 🤣
Caught me off guard too lol
at least in germany the 100D is more slightly more expensive and the only lower model you can choose is the 75D which would be up there if you could still choose the "P"... maybe that's where he's coming from.. but i think there is more than 1 flaw in this comparison.. :D

Officially it's just a 75D
I assume he meant the standard MS75D, which now has 0-60 in 4.2s.

That was BY FAR the most informative and well-produced automobile review that I've ever seen. Congratulations, Jonny, keep up the great work!
Was it stolen? Or was it taycan?
That quality of the video is just amazing. Keep that up. Love it
Proper review after a long time. Wisdom in the industry is also better than anyone in RUclips.
Nice and chill in-depth review, pleasure to watch :)
I don't normally sit through a whole 20 minutes review of a car but I've watched yours in one go. Great review and a fantastic car!
This is why I think Fully Charged is so great. Its not binary, it looks at all the options out there. Well done on another great review and on a very succesful Fully Charged Live weekend.
9:30 even the sunshine is synced with the rhythm. Why are your videos so satisfying to watch?
This episode was another step up in production quality, great job!
What is the track that is playing ? Oh and great work, probably one of my favourite reviews so far.
The quality of this review is astonishing...

Really interesting and extremely well written piece, great use of the language to describe what I can't experience. Thanks Johnny
I love the way this show has evolved.... Really well shot and fabulous review
As always, beautiful shots
I'm loving the review.

Wow,
What a well made and well edited video - love the soundtrack.
You guys have upped your game - congratulations!
Another cracking review from Jonny as always the best on youtube in my book
Fantastic video. Very well done
Agree with previous comment. No drama. Just very quiet and calmly informative review. Always worth watching Jonny.
Brilliant review. Balanced and fair, well thought out. Really nice camera work too.
The video and animations are awesome.
Great review as usual Johnny.
Stunning presentation guys. This show is top class. Johnny and the cameraman deserve huge credit.
Great review loved it!
Great presentation, as always Jonny and great car. Would buy one right now if I had the money :-( Thanks for the review
Maaaaaaaan, i love it when you a review a car mate. great work.
Excellent review, informative and interesting. Well done.
These videos are getting glossier and more professional by the minute, guys. Proud to be a patron!
excellent non biased review. very informative from a real car guy

Jonny! A big time fan here. 😁
Great reviews as usual!
Another great presentation
Hi Jonny, I really like your style of presentation and reviews, keep it up :-)
Jonny Smith is just the best.
great review
Awesome review !!
Without a doubt you are the BEST car reviewer on youtube - love your style - would also love to be able to afford one of these !
What an amazing review!

Good review, as always. Slightly marred by the lack of "If you have been, thank you for watching." signature ending.
Lovely car and such a good, no actually I think its the best review Ive seen in a long time. No silliness. Just straightforward explanation of features and options. Definitely going to get the 21” wheel upgrade, I wish.
Very nice to watch. Well done
Excellent review.
Brilliant review
Great review!
Perfect car for people that actually like to drive quick around corners. Rear steering is AMAZING!
Amazing video
I had this video on in the background for like 10 minutes before I looked up at the television and saw that it was Jonny 😬
Nice to see him . I'll subscribe
Impeccable production. RUclips era's Top Gear right here.
A beauty review... Thanks
Time 11:55. What a well delivered comment. Hats off to you sir.
P75D???
Whenever I click on a fully charged video I pray it's Jonny and not that old man that doesn't prepare or put any effort.
I tend to think the other way around, I much prefer Kryten then all this innapropriate bad taste humour.
BEAUTIFULLY SHOT!!!! WOWW
Your review is bang on the button. For the money, it's peerless.
Fantastic production and a great review.
Thanks Jonny
I will enjoy the "Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid", commuting 24 miles round trip from my house to the office, driving from stop sign to stop sign, stoplight to stoplight, bumper to bumper on the tollway looking for the exit. >:)
Double denim and night vision dogging 😂😂😂
Jonny your a class act when it comes to car reviewing. 👍
I love that there is a link to the car's webpage. There should be such a link in every review
Good review
Great video as always guys. Thank you for showcasing beautiful engineering even if not a true EV. We are in a transition phase in motoring and every iteration of EV technology is important. What a stunning car, the interior is stunning - keeping the joy of driving alive!
Good car. Good review.
with a 30 mile range it makes as much sense as me eating a salad for the first time in my life and demanding an immediate 6pack.
How far is your daily commute?
This man should be the next top gear presenter... he is hilarious....
Excellent review. If I were in the market for something like this, I think I’d still wait a few years to see were the tech goes...
Great Johnny!

I really really really want one of these. Best auto reviewers on RUclips I reckon. So much cooler than the Carwow lot!

Excellent review, thank you. Trying to decide between a 4S 4.0D or one of these 🤔.
11:55 "or humans dogging" I can see this vision system would be very useful for that :) hahaha
Fun review...
Very nice :-)

What camera did Mark use during this episode? Nice filming and grading :) Keep up this work!
The ultimate car, just waiting for it to drop to about £50! They’ve held their values though pretty well.
Where did you get your rings? I love the style of them
I love the dashboard.
I loved Campri, had so many of those jackets,
@11.55. you just couldn't help yourself could you!? :) Another excellent review.
I have to ask this..
so while driving in the ePorsche is this against the law to use the centre controls is as the same as using a Bluetooth mobile phone.
So close to the law maybe changed that you can’t touch the controls while driving.
Great review! What mpg did you manage? Do you think it will save any fuel over the regular version, with the e-mode being so sluggish?
Andrew Langton on a trip around 250 miles with fully charged battery I get 38mpg and 32 with no charge
8:20 "That's 70 mph".
I'm sure you meant 60 mph, right? ;)
bujin1977 clearly he's in mexico.
18:20 "Tax swindle..." LOL.
thank gawd they fixed that rear end!!
Windows rolling down flooring the accelerator to listen to the exhaust........ Something new on fully charged😂🙌🏽
