Actually it's historically accurate. Sure, it was a male-dominated occupation, but there are many accounts of female pirates as well. And as for Africans in piracy, they were fairly common. Pirates and privateers judged you by your abilities at sea and in combat, not by the color of your skin. In fact, Africans were often seen as great combatants, and were therefore sought after. And for an African, you would gladly accept it, despite the risks, simply because of freedom.
if their was a movie with all the best robbers in the world got together for the biggest heist ever... it would be cool but a game where all the most notorious pirates get together for the biggest prize of their lives.....AWESOME!!!

Become one of us, or be sold as slaves for our profit. Pirates were in the slave business too, but they didn't like to catch their own. They preferred to take those already captured. It was easier that way. As you may be able to guess, a fair number would generally agree to be part of the crew, and maintain some sort of freedom.

When the ship she was on was captured she was going to be Hung for being a pirate. But then she stated that she was with child. If you think about it whole watching this trailer I think that ubisoft is going to make haytham her and Edwards child. That is just my guess
The series is over you realize. Technically, this game looks like it might be being released out of order. Desmond did what he had to so already, and so far as we can tell, he saved the world. Story arch done. So unless they are unveiling another sub plot, this game is basically a release for fans, because EVERYONE wanted a pirate assassin.

They are simply killed as the Assassins don't want/cannot afford to be caught. Thus, Assassins (and therefore the franchise) condone killing innocent people and furthermore, your knowledge is not as comprehensive as you would believe.

I think it's because he saw the word 'heist'. In some respects, this trailer does have some similarities to the build up to heists in GTAV.
