after watching quite a few episodes of Dr. Phil Primetime, i’m outright AMAZED at how much the oprah network held him back. i’m so glad he’s come out with that media network.

Where are the parents?
Not doing what they supposed to be doing as parents. I can relate to this. Both my parents deadbeats, foster families treated me horribly. Didn’t realize it until I went to therapy as an adult. We need men and women who make sense and are responsible adults. The past 20 years have been a poopstorm in relation to the “family unit” and in my opinion some schools definitely need a Dr Phil principal or dean.

I am from Canada, and in 2018 the courts told me I had no parental rights, ONLY RESPONSIBILITIES. I did nothing wrong. My ex husband sent my 15 yr old child to Manitoba WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION! I can get documentation of the transcripts to prove it. That's straight from a judge.
My Husbands ex took his Daughter to the other side of Canada. He is a great Father. They were close and now estranged.

I got off of Facebook over 3 years ago, never had twitter, snap chat etc…I look at myself as someone who understands a lost way of life because all of my communication with people is face to face…granted I’ll text here and there but, I’ve come to understand the way I live is so different than the average person and I’m an outsider observing some weird evolutionary step of human beings…

My best friend is a nurse who’s now working towards a higher medical degree. Years ago she used to be a patriot. Now she’s so left-leaning that I avoid any conversation with her regarding these topics or even the news in general. She’s gone SUPER woke from all the brainwashing in the medical establishment. Really heartbreaking .

(Watching Hillary Clinton and John Kerry promoting mandatory preschool was the last straw for me) My husband worked his ass off, I stayed home, we cut expenses and we pulled our kids from public school. Hard, but so worth it. No regrets. Today our kids are young adults, married, homeowners, and all four agree our grandchildren will never attend public schools.

I bring my mini king charles spaniel with me everywhere. The reaction I receive from people is adorable! They STOP looking at their phones, they light up and smile, and (imagine this) engage in a conversation! Anything to remove people from being glued to the phone.
Spaniels are the best. My cocker spaniel is the greatest source of joy ever

The best advice I ever got was "You can do anything you put your mind to" -My Mom. And if there are challenges or there's adversity, you don't get a "trigger warning" and run away, you run towards it and face it with determination. It's the only way to grow stronger, you will only get and stay weaker if you are continually coddled and shielded from what challenges you. People need to grow up and face reality.

It is really hard to be a doctor. I appreciate Joe Rogan saying that so much. I just missed a close friend’s wedding bc of my medical training, and I’ve been extremely sad about the continuous sacrifices I have to make.
It made me so happy that he acknowledged how hard it is. Doctors get a lot of hate these days, and I understand why, but it’s like people forget how much we sacrifice to serve

I've never seen much of Doctor Phil before but listening to this discussion gives me a good impression so far. He seems very sincere in his concerns and compassions.
Police do need proper funding but the fact that they are having to become more like a military is due to such long term defunding where criminals have become so brazen & powerful that's the new level required from law enforcement.

Universities weren't even a battleground of ideas in the 1990s, Joe. Where I attended, so many of the lecturers were ideologically driven, they didn't seem to want debate at all. I found it so disappointing. I thought university was a place you could do that.
After the 1960s they all became hives for activist culture...

As a high school teacher, I just want to teach. I don't want the responsibility to be a counselor in the area of gender. That is not my job and I have enough to do. It's hard enough that we now have to meet some Maslow needs for students whose parents are not there for their kids.
My Mother had seven children. She was a Librarian and a Teacher’s aide. She always said that we can’t undo in eight hours what these children have been exposed to.

Dr.Phil is so right when he talks about everyone looking down all the time,but I think on the Luas (IRISH TRAM) or even the train ,people are afraid to look up and make eye contact with a stranger just incase they may have to have a conversation

As a gay man who has never been accepted by his parents (now well beyond 40), I was very glad that as late-teenager (age 17-18), I was able to talk to people outside of my family and find support and understanding there. There is of course a danger to be exposed to an "agenda". Looking back, I indeed was exposed to some of that as well, it probably comes with the fact that people would simply keep quiet without a certain kind of idealism, and idealism always comes with an ideology of some kind.
In the end I did have to find my own personal interpretation of my own situation, steering clear or negotiating my way around norms this or that way.
I had to learn that people will in fact simply never understand in the end, people can never be really honest to each other about these things - I will simply never fit in.
Would I want to help young people not having to feel this way? Yes, absolutely.
Of course the question is "who to trust"- would I trust myself? Would I want that responsibility? Well, I can only give my own perspective, I think I am alright. But it is a long way from my humble experience to something like "sex-reassignment-surgery". That should imho be at least as controversial and restricted as having an abortion.
But I have to say the way the debate is polarized, also in this podcast, is a little nauseating to me. Talk to the people who are affected by this, not about them, please!
