- hello friends! today marks my official day 1 for fall semester! had a rough day 1 as i got sick and overwhelmed by my courses lol xD I'm officially in my 5th semester and have one left! However, I still have a pathway to take towards my CPA lol T^T
Brief overview: I'm an international student from the Philippines. I'm in Canada via study permit. It has been a fun experience so far 🙂

Even though I got raised in Toronto, a new school environment always makes me a bit stressed. I will be starting a human resource management program with centennial college in about a month. Your content really helps as to show a bit of vibe of the college, classrooms sizes, etc. Keep up the great work!

Cool content! I'm planning to take a cyber security program and contemplating between Centennial and Seneca. How do you find the cost of living? from what I read, the rent can be absurdly high. We're a family of 3 so I'm a bit worried if we can sustain living there.
Hi Joseph, thanks for watching my vlog! Both colleges are actually good for your program :) maybe weigh in which school location is more convenient for you. Rent can be expensive especially for a family. I would like to suggest you look for a basement room in fb hosted by Filipinos. It's way cheaper as rent usually includes utilities already. Getting an actual apartment is more expensive and rent doesn't usually cover utilities yet. For cost of living, as long as your OWP takes full time hours and you as a student take part time hours, i think it can sustain a family of 3 :) I learned to always look at store flyers and do couponing when i have time.

@@jamcast725 flyers are easy to find online. for couponing, theres a lot of resources through mail, emails, apps but i follow @couponcutiecanada on tiktok to know some deals 😊

Is it easy to find job while being a student? How did you find job po? And how long did it take? Meron ka po video nito? Hehe
Hi Spontany! based on my experience it is not easy to find a job hehe. However, it is not impossible. You really need to work on your resume and submit atleast 5 job posts per day until you get a callback. There is too much competition as there are a lot of international students who arrived this year specially now that there are no restrictions already. I don’t have a video about it because a lot of youtubers have already made contents based on this topic ☺️ When looking for a job, I highly recommend: ca.indeed.com/m/ and www.jobbank.gc.ca/home . It is also good to hand in your resume in person. You never know, you might get hired on the spot!
Coming here next year! My greatest worry & headache now is finding accommodation, what kind of accommodation are u staying in? I’m hoping to rent a small studio apartment or at least a room with my own bathroom for around $1400-$1600 CAD
Hi Shaun! I found my accommodation through a facebook group. There is a group made by the Filipino community who owns houses and they rent out some of their rooms to students. Kinda like a homestay hehe~ I'm paying $625 now all inclusive. I share bathroom with the next door student but the one renting in our basement is paying $800 all inclusive with own washroom. Maybe try looking at facebook groups, its a cheaper alternative :) Just beware of scammers.. Hoping for your safe flight soon!

@@jowileanina WOW that's a really good price and almost unbelievable at today's market rate! If I can get a while basement or just a bedroom with my own bathroom for under $1400 I'll be really happy. Wish I have my own apartment in Canada then I wouldn't have to worry about this and can bring all my stuff with me.

hi! you should go to your desired school’s website ☺️ most of the websites have detailed steps on how to enroll as international students. but the very first step is to get an offer letter bec you need that to apply for your student visa😊
