Si, I was fortunate enough to visit Scotland 25 years ago and your video brought back so many wonderful memories and reminded me just how breathtaking the landscape is. I've always wanted to go back, but now of course, I want to tour on a motorcycle!
Just found your uploads. Fantastic pal! Enjoy a good tour and the sights. I'm not a motorbike guy, but like all things Scotland. Be safe on the roads and of course, Slainte mhath!
Welcome back Si, pleased your'e back. Eilean Donan castle is just one of my all time favourite places, went there during the NC500. Great footage. Thank you
Hi Si, Welcome back ! And what a road to start back on ! I’m currently subscribed to 70 channels (I didn’t realise it was so many, yes I counted !) so did I notice your recent lack of output ? Well actually, yes I had so I am pleased you are back ! I am familiar with most of the roads featured today, Glenoe never disappoints, but I’ve never tackled the Bealach na Bà which I intend to do on my Café Racer the next time I visit Scotland. Due to its restricted lock my bike has the turning circle of a supertanker so I’m looking forward to the challenge of all those hairpins some of which I understand are ferociously steep ! 🤪
Thanks a bunch Stewy, yeah the Applecross road is a must it’s great fun and the views from the top are incredible, just wish we had a clear day. Cheers mate it’s good to be back 🤓
You know you’re Scottish “when you can smell the rain!” 😂 Sad to hear that you’ve left WCT, wishing you all the best on your new venture; lovely to hear you praising the staff at WCT and couldn’t agree more always enjoyed the banter and hospitality from them 👍🏻
Simon, when you talk about the freedom and and the reason “we” ride bikes (9 minutes in) . I once heard it described like this “When you drive a car you can admire the scenery, when you ride a bike you’re part of the scenery” I liked that description. Good luck in the new job. I’m up to Oban as soon as I can make the plans.
All the best for the new venture Si. And yes, I concur - Si and the team he also lauds at West Coast Triumph always go that bit extra compared to other dealers. It’s what makes a defining difference, especially when spending my pension and more on motorcycles!
Hey Si, glad to see you back, miss your smiling face down at WCT. Much like yourself, I've not done much riding this year😢 firstly due to my knee replacement. Though now I am bikeless due to someone deciding to drive on the wrong side of the road and wiping me out.
@simotofoto wasn't as bad as it could have been, only 3 days in hospital and back onto a physio regime. Still waiting to hear if my tiger is a write off or not, the chap that took the bike after the accident reckons it was around £7300 to fix🫨 so we will see. Either way I was going to get the speedmaster, so that ain't changed, just delayed
Ouch! Haste ye back to hopping. Came across a German lady on the other side of the road, going the same way as me around Kinlochleven. She thought I was manically waving Scottish greetings until at the last moment before the lorry came round the bend she realised which side of the road we drive on. Happens too often!
Really enjoyed this. Only done it a few times in a car, still great. Try the road out to Ardamurchan. Not as high, but alongside lochs with occasional steep hairpin climbs on what can only be best described as a tarmaced farm road. The end result at Sanna Sands or the Ardnamurchan Point (most westerley point of mainland Britain) make it all worth while. 50 miles from the Corran Ferry will take over 2 hours and certainly test your bikes and rider ability. Thanks again for posting, enjoyed.
Great vid Si! Sorry to hear you're away from WCT. You and Sian will both be a loss. - All the best in your new ventures. Get that Monkey Bike on a trip! 😉🍻

@@simotofoto nice one! 😎
Si, what make/model is that tent please? Also chairs, as presume collapsible?
Vango Banshee 300 John, not sure on the make of the chair, Cha picked them up at Costco, they were about £30
Biggest bike I ever rode was a Triumph Tiger 500 - back in '71-'72. 😀 Sadly, passed my car test in 1973 and gave up bikes.
awww boooo, get back on 2 wheels :)
Like every road in Norway. 😊
I would love to ride in Norway 🇳🇴
@@simotofoto only Norway is cheaper .
@@49googie I can actually believe that
Try conquering Manali to leh road 🇮🇳
Sounds awesome :)
its not roads that are dangerous, its the way we use them with our vehicles, stay safe
The roads are only as dangerous as the people who's driving on them .
Well said
