Man i love this, channels like yours are giving us an inside and knowledge about a history that most of us didn´t even know it existed. But not like a history channel doc about "mafias", this is more personal, raw, and sincere. Thanks.

ghost shadow gang was so bad ass. Today these younger generation can’t imagine how crazy Chinese gangs were back in the 70s, 80s and 90s.They brawled with so many Spanish and black people. I remembered they had a brawl on FDR. It was near seaport pier 17. The ghost shadow had over 50 people and beef with rival gangs. The Rival gangs came with a lot of people but they didn’t expect all those short Chinese guys could fight like Jackie Chan. I still remember that brawl to this day because it was like something happened only in the movie.

As someone living in New york as soon as I heard the sirens in the video I immediately looked towards my window because it sounded like it was coming from outside lol. Great video though. As someone who came here from Ukraine and lived in Brighton Beach with family in the Russian mafia I find these stories super fascinating especially from other cultures.

I had dinner with his uncle, Kit Jei, at Peter Luger's steak house in the early 80s. He was having a meeting about territory and about the head of the White Tigers and taking over Bayard street. At the table was, Kit Jei, his girlfriend at that time, Sandra and her older sister Carolyn and I think it was Onion Head "Chun Tou", and myself. After dinner, we drove back to 13 Mott to bring doggy bags for the gang kids. I'll spare the details. But, I will never forget that night.

My uncle's as well.
