quick tip, "adagio" and "momentum" in the rapier skill tree are both considered empowers and consequently get removed instantly by natures wrath, so you could put those points anywhere else if you wanted to
Great tip! I hadn't really put too much thought into my rapiers talents in regards to the natures wrath at the time since I was new to it but I have since swapped momentum for light edge in the left tree. I kept adagio because I like the breathe in talent that follows it for the extra stamina when you dodge something.
i really wish, that when folks showing their dope pvp buillds.. that they would showcase them not mainly only in scenes where they running with a premade, or where they are ganging up on one or two opponents, having large numbers more etc.. i would prefer to see what the build itself can actually do. Any build is great in a team and support etc, outnumbering ur foe even. Also, FS/rapier should be a fun slippery solo assasin build too.. would luv to see that, and how it fares. and also the optimised Natures Wrath build damage output alone.. cant tell or see cuz multiple others are hitting ur targets as well.. just my 2 cents.. still great stuff eh
Understandable. I do always queue solo, I just prefer solid team play when playing OPR and that's what most of my builds emphasize. When playing well with a team the ideal situation are fights tilted in your favor i.e. outnumbering your foes in isolated fights. Being able to navigate fights when solo to make situations like that happen is an underrated skill that isn't capitalized on enough imo.
allo allo, been a while! If you don't have this amulet another great choice is endless thirst earring with a neck that has stamina recovery + refreshing recovery + 15% thrust/slash resist
@@nickh5485 for this optimised Natures wrath build.. i dont thin endless thirst is a good choice.. u cant use the empower on potion drink, and also the fortify doesnt give u much, on a light low con build. so basically the main features of endless thirst are useless on this build.. imo. sure u have a stronger healthpot, but longer cd, doesnt really make much dif, in total calc..
hey, amazing gameplay. I have a question, in the rapier you have perks for Tendo and Flourish, but you have all the skills from the Grace tree. I don't understand it a bit, could you explain?
Hey thanks. Those perks are on that rapier by default and dont actually matter, the perk I added to it is the keenly jagged bleed on crits. It's all to do with the 15% damage amp against a bleeding target on both weapons. The main purpose is to bleed someone and hit them even harder with your firestaff
It's the new freeform movement and directional melee settings they brought out this patch, you can flick them on and off in the game settings tab, directional melee lets you use WASD to control directional abilities.
Leaning into raw firestaff damage atm seems like the best idea to me when playing with nature's wrath to push things over the edge. If I was playing featherweight I'd play 200 con though.
I'm not the biggest fan of enchanted ward on ranged set ups and prefer elemental aversion over it. If you really wanted more sustain you could swap out the 4/4 refreshing for shirking heals if you plan on getting into a lot of 1v1's. I enjoy refreshing on all my mage builds to lean into the ranged pressure you can output.
@@GRmike Yeah I crafted all these pieces via armoring, so it's a bit expensive unfortunately. Things are a lot easier when you can use featherweight because you get 2 free firelord pieces from the kiln.
Hahaha thanks. We've come to a gentleman's agreement then, I never saw you obliterating the lone healer in the backline, and you never saw me standing up top on the high ground.
seriously these fs builds in opr are really powerful im gonna try to build one with the azoth crystal armor that already comes with refreshing and enchanted ward
Switched back to Firestaff/Greatsword was playing it during launch. I play on controller, double melee isnt as viable anymore since players are doing a lot more damage as compared to before. Better off going glass as the main weapon. All the best. 🤍🖤💜🎉🎉🎉
I'm a big fan of refreshing recovery/stamina recovery on all my builds, when being run down it refreshes all your mobility to help break melee leashes or break LoS on ranged players or even fight back with advantage. It's especially strong if you ever use a BB.
@@nickh5485 Hmm, how is Phoenix good? Taking -20% of your max HP after you revive is pretty much just 5 ticks and you're dead. Hard to get a kill within that short period of time.
@@Domuh I like it for the illegal perk combination of purify/stam recov/refreshing recov. Normally you have to choose between stam and purify but with this ammy the second you get hit under 50% you're a new man. The rez effect isn't actually that good tbh. Only if you're stuck in an all-in does it get useful, and even then not by much.
@@Largecapacty46 that's the case for most builds, fire staff however has a higher crit chance on its abilities so critting is likely to happen if you have good up time.
What endless said is correct, I use it for the 15% damage amp vs bleeding targets that applies to both of my weapons. It's also why I have keenly jagged on both weapons. The target can even be bleeding from someone else's dot and I'll gain the damage boost.
If I was to run 200 con i'd run it with my featherweight build. I've tried it in both, the featherweight one is SUPER tanky and a great all rounder. It does do significantly less burst than this set up though, nature's wrath seems to push fire staff over the edge and opens up for some crazy moments where you don't normally gets kills currently. Both sets are super viable though imo.

as always new world. The easiest build to play is the most broken. Area damage totally indifferent whether you hit the body or not and exaggerated damage without penalty. Gg
NW pvp is still mainly skill based. a good pvper can use many weapons and builds succesfully, while a bad or newer player can use "the most OP weps n build" and still get farmed. SKILL > GEAR. f.e., in opr, in noticed so many playas going FS, cuz they hear and think its the most op, and they can stand from "safe range". but in reality, these less skilled FS playas are so easy to kill. its only when u come across a skilled FS playa that u realise how strong it can be. but u can tell in the first secs. And there are actually many builds and weapons atm, that are really good, and strong. atm FS is the big topic. but it was the same with bows etc. in the past, where everyone started useing bow in opr, but most are just ranged retreaters, and fold and run and die as soon as pressed. on the other hand, a very good bow playa is so dangerous, and fights u at close range too, and has kiting and movement that really makes it hard to hit em. folks seem to want a weapon or build to perform by itself. but im happy that NW is still largely skill based! ;)
I find 3 elemental aversion is enough, it's also a lot rarer for mages to end up fighting each other in well structured team fights. Being all in'd by light melee players with ga/x and spear/x however is extremely common. Especially when many play in 5stacks.
@@nickh5485 i will try to reduce my elementals and see how it goes. And for natures wrath I believe fs/ga has a lot of potential too. I will try it with 150 or 200 con because its more risky.
