I used to to demos at walmart and one of the most important things you want to look for is the expiration dates👀. Had to get rid of two shelves worth of expired organic products in the organic section in the fridge part. Please check your dates before purchasing at walmart and even some wholefoods🤷🏾♀️
I unfortunately noticed this in several refrigerated (esp. yogurt) items AFTER opening them at home. But one I consistently saw in store was the Oscar Mayer Naturals deli meat. I have been buying it weekly for our family & discontinued using other brands since seeing it was Bobby approved almost 2 years ago. They really did taste substantially better than other brands we had tried & although can be tough to find in our area, the one WM here stocking one & occasionally 2 varieties. However, last fall I noticed what was stocked on our store's shelves were beginning to fall out of date. It was gradual at first, but by the beginning of December they were still stocked with packs expired late October. Before Christmas I noticed the packs had visibly molded meat in them.
Since I started watching and learning from your videos, it takes me forever to shop in the grocery store. I read every label now. Thanks for all your info!
Remember in the dairy aisle to always pull from the bottom in the back not from the front items because they're gonna expire quickest if you keep grabbing from the front
I work at a grocery store and this is correct. It’s called rotation or first in, first out. Always grab from the back of the stock as it is the newest product. ;) and as far as food waste goes, usually close to expiring food ALWAYS gets discounted and sold becuz ppl love a sale! :) food waste is inevitable but actually buying this way does help. We can push more product out. The more you know! 👍🏻
@@viv513 I also work at a grocery store and we almost never reduce prices on close dated products. The amount of food waste is disgusting and disturbing. If you're going to use something today, why do you need to buy it with a date 3 weeks out?
Bobby, we love your videos! We found you about beginning of the pandemic and have been eating clean ever since. As a matter of fact, we stopped being lazy and started cooking for ourselves like we used to have to do before we could afford to eat out. Weight loss, lower blood glucose levels, better cholesterol readings, and just feeling better all the way around has been the result! I want to call you to task on something you highlighted in this video. The frozen "Great Value" meals contain EVOO. That might be good and it might not be so good. Ever since I saw your video on the perils of EVOO in the marketplace, I have done some due diligence myself and it is a widespread problem in the food industry. There is a better than odds on chance that the EVOO used in these frozen meals is bad juju. Because they are mass produced, the producers are always looking for ways to do it for less money (cheaper). That means they are possibly, unknowingly buying inferior oils that are going into the final product. I would urge anyone that might purchase one of these to think twice and prepare something on your own with Bobby approved ingredients. We prepare meals and freeze them ourselves for future consumption. There are only two of us in our home now. (Empty nesters) We will prepare a meal for 4. Have our meal now and set aside 2 servings in our freezer for quick preparation on one of those evenings when neither of us feels much like whipping up a meal. A few minutes in the microwave, oven, or stovetop, and we are sitting down to a home prepared, Bobby approved, clean meal.

WTH?!...Bobby, when you move, maybe it'll be a good idea to talk to the managers and ask for permission and tell them why you're filming so you can film and shop wherever you want.....?
No, they stop you from filming because the other customers may not want to be filmed and there is no way to know if they are or not. It’s a privacy issue. Nothing more and perfectly understandable.
@@RockinDaBoombox That's not the only reason. It's completely legal to film someone without their consent, and legal as long as you don't film a private conversation, *but* a customer could still try to sue Walmart and I can see why Walmart would try to prevent any possible lawsuits. Another reason why they don't allow photography or recording, is because they don't want someone to film anything remotely controversial inside the store and spread it like wildfire on the internet, which is very likely in this day and age. It could also be that they don't want someone who works for a competitor store, taking pictures of their layout and their prices and using thay information to improve their own store (I've heard this reason a lot, and even had this policy at a store I worked at, and heard it from employees at other stores). Yes that would be great. I have a friend that moved to Europe and she said the food she was buying kept going bad really quickly. And then she said she realized they don't have all the preservatives in the food that we have. I thought that was so interesting.
I love you, man, but I think your brain's in Florida already. That Rebel ice cream triple chocolate does indeed have natural flavors (last ingredient.) I buy pasture free range eggs called Blue Sky that are rated very high, certified American Humane and verified by Non GMO project at my local Walmart in southern Illinois. Happy Eggs are also carried, but Blue Sky has higher ratings and cheaper.
Hi! At Walmart’s in Texas (and California I’m told) they have a brand of butter called “Danish Creamery European Style Butter”. It’s a very good price where I am and the ingredients are just “Pastured Cream & Lactic Acid”. The back of the box says the cows spend their days outside and “enjoy a rich and varied natural diet”. So... I need to do some more research on what they mean by that exactly. It doesn’t say organic or non GMO, though it does say the cows are not treated by rBST. But I’m unemployed and on a budget AND it’s pretty tasty stuff.
Okay so the website (danishcreamery.com/products) says the pasture raised cows eat grass... but doesn’t say if that’s 100% grass fed, or if they supplement their diet and with what if so.
Bobby, I really enjoyed watching this because I shop at that very same Walmart. I'll be stopping by there soon & thanks to you I'll have my shopping list ready to get the items you shared that are more on the healthier side👍🏼 Appreciate you sharing the knowledge.

Hi Bobby Parrish, can you make a video on why exactly you say that canola oil is highly toxic and inflammatory? I have been trying to find an answer online but many fitness experts say it is healthy to consume. In fact a publication by Harvard school of medicine says that canola oil is rich in omega 3 fatty acids and helps reduce the LDL cholesterol and improve heart health. The toxic erucic acid is actually low in canola oil compared to rapeseed oil (0.01% in commercially available canola oils) and the toxic hexane is also extremely low as most of it is removed during refining. I also got to know that the GMO component is only in the protein of the canola flower that makes it resistant to pesticides and herbicides and not in its fat/oil derived from the seeds. It is recommended to NOT heat the oil until its vapour point or burn it to get its maximum benefits, which in my opinion holds true for any of the oils available. Many online resources say that it is a myth to call canola oil bad for your health. So can you please make a video making it clear regarding health effects of canola oil with some meaning references. Much appreciated, thank you!

I like these videos because once the borders finally open up and I can drive from Toronto to Buffalo I plan on going grocery shopping because a lot of products ie) kerrygold butter and ghee are much cheaper than here. I also want to go to stores like trader joe's etc that we don't have here.
You are so hilarious ! Love all your videos

Maybe you should have a sit down with the store managers and show them what you film. Most of them are pretty cool.
The triple chocolate has natural flavors. It’s the last ingredient
