When people take a trip, they don't sign up for an interrogation party. In fact that's precisely what they're trying to avoid. But in all seriousness, I can see how lsd if used properly might be of benefit to some people. Also, it might be handy to have an antidote on standby.Lastly, I must remind you that these friendly gangsters didn't always ask the people's permission before carrying out their experiments. I've heard of whole towns being sprayed by crop dusting planes. Isn't there a law against that. Even my good friend Timothy Leary didn't do that. Can we honestly say that we trust the so called authorities and did you know that the people are ultimately the real authority.

It was supposed to be a weapon. They weren't just expecting them all to snap, they thought they KNEW that they would. When they gave it to people without their knowledge or concent, those people always had a psychotic break.
This was probably supposed to be an "experiment" to scientifically legitimize secret (illegal) research they had already done. That or it was just an advertisement to sell the antidote, and wasn't remotely scientific at all. Of course then they need a bad reaction.

I believe that the subject was minimizing his actual feelings of how the acid felt. He was having a terrible reaction mentally to it, but didn't want to reveal it because it shows weakness. So he spent most of the time trying to act normal. He kept putting his hand over his face which showed the distress. When asked whether he felt pleasant or unpleasant he said neither which was clearly a lie because afterward he said it was unpleasant.

Don't they know about how tolerance to LSD works? You have to space out your trips by more than a week because the subsequent trips aren't as potent as the first one.
    It happens very fast.
I remember back in the 1980s I tripped 3 days in a row, and by the third day I barely felt anything at all. First day I tripped balls, the second day was a lot milder and the third day I might as well have taken a breath mint.

The doctor was a real buzzkill. He didn't understand what Ron was trying to explain. How can you describe the acid experience other than words like incredible, and beautiful. They should have done the tests at night, in the country so test subjects could see the stars and walk around as they please. The darkness would definitely enhance the experience. They should have built a campfire to enjoy the heat and visual effects. I guess I mean a camping trip ( literally ) grandpa 's cabin at a remote Lake. The doctor's should have taken the same dose as well. Having junk food on hand like pizza, chips or even s'mores. Some good wine, soda, or even cold water and coffee. After the electric sunrise get into a darkened space and close there eyes and listen to tunes. Visuals, oh yeah. Laff until you cry . Out of body experience not uncommon. Acid is unsympathetic tho,so take care of business before hand. You will have a more enjoyable trip. Just like any other trip, you need to be prepared. Starting out with a empty stomach is a good idea so if you puke it won't be so bad. Smoking a bunch of weed is always good ( enhancer).don't fight the drug and let your self go . You may feel you are dying at first but remember you have to die before you can see heaven. Don't go it alone. Bring your best friends. Only people you totally trust. You can share your experience with them and talk your way through the rough spots. Dress warm enough. Bring a variety of music. Always remember that you aren't the man on the moon and not the first one to take the drug. If you want to come down take a cool shower and if you have it a pill like valium will help.

They were trying to come out with Anti Psychotic meds to counteract psychedelic Drugs back then ….. because when people would have bad trips , there was no Antidote . Now there are many drugs that help with that . This was all a test on MR-17. Not a test to see how LSD affects you . ……

The power of suggestion is overwhelming on acid and people who are paranoid or schizoid will definitely have those traits amplified- especially if somebody is constantly telling you that you are having a bummer. Hallucinogens are what you make them and the only things you experience are the things you take with you-- I knew an old hippy in the80s who took a valium an hour before he dropped any hallucinogenic chemicals or shrooms because he was prone to panic disorder and anxiety attacks-- most "bad trips" I've seen were just anxiety attacks that had gone way off the rails. Never had any problems myself-- I love tripping. Period.

I tried it as a teen, while at the sprint car races with my dad. I thought nothing was going to happen. It had been an hour or so and nothing. I went to the bathroom and bam 💥 that was the biggest stall ever. Felt like it took me 3 hours to get out of the stall. We went home and I was dying laughing. My mom was yelling at me while I was laughing and caused me to laugh more. Not a bad trip. But I suppose it could’ve turned bad if my mom would’ve figured out I was high af. Needless to say I never did it again and stopped seeing the guy I was dating at the time. I never did it again. I felt stoned on weed. I don’t like anything that causes loss of control. @@firstnamelastname9955 LSD use in rare cases has been linked to schizophrenia in those with a family history or any other kind of predisposition to the disorder. In even rarer cases, however, it has been linked to similar outcomes in those with no predisposition or family history. These are VERY rare cases however but they have been documented.
Overall it is mostly harmless in smaller doses and with infrequent use. One trip probably isn't going to permanently screw your head up. In fact, recent studies have shown the potential for LSD, among other psychs like Psylocibin, to help with addiction and depression, as well as some other mental health conditions.
