In the words of Richard Sherman "Do your research". I don't even know if you will understand that reference because you obviously didn't pay any attention before making a dumbass comment.
I remember the Derek Anderson laughing thing vividly for some reason. I know they were losing bad but idk. I’ve always had the feeling that even if you’re getting destroyed you don’t have to act like your entire family was murdered on the sideline.
His teammate also could have said something to cheer him up which made him smile for a moment. People laugh at funerals as well when bringing up fun moments about the person who passed. That reporter asking that question was a total piece of garbage
I agree but given the optics it did look bad and i thi k even derek knew that and was flustered to be called out on it... Idk how much he was paid or how bad the cards were at the time, but im pretty sure they were getting creamed in that specific game and for him to be laughing there, it really comes off like he doesnt give af and thats not a good look.
It isn’t anxiety though. He’s got his head on straight and he’s paying attention ALL the time. He sees past those meaningless questions he’s bombarded with. He does more for young kids out there than any of those other players, but they want to harass him with character judging questions, demanding how he feels in a game. Lynch works and wants to go home. Whole world all up in his face asking dumb questions, he just hits em up with the dumb answer that those dumb questions deserve.
@@MobTyz It was because the base of his thumb on his throwing hand was torn open during practice before a playoff game that required many stitches and was being held together by tape (pictures released after the season ended showed just how bad it was. You can look it up on google). He was facing the #1 defense in the league in 4 days and though everyone knew he had injured his hand, he was trying to not show the opposing team that the injury was in a bad place for gripping the ball as he had not tried to practice with it yet. 4 days later he completed 26 of 38 passes for 290 yards and a 4th quarter comeback win then threw for over 500 yards in a losing effort against the Eagles at the Superbowl 2 weeks after that.

Yes it certainly does. You don’t laugh when you are being paid millions to work, and failed to do your job. Any real competitor would be embarrassed, nothing is funny In that moment. The fact that his career was a bust says it all.

Reporter: "Why did you lose the game?" Marshawn Lynch, Tom Brady, and Richard Sherman: "I'm thankful we're not talking about it. Now, do your own research."
"Tom why are you injured?" "I'm not talking about it." 60 questions asking about it later. Edit: I'm not super happy that my most rated comments are for my take on RDR2 killing Arthur, Penguinz0 getting fucked by a teammate, and me defending a football legend that I detest.
@@unpricedhydra3492 He had a hand injury. I think from a handoff to James White at practice. It wasn't a sure thing, to the public, whether he would or wouldn't play that next game, which was the AFC championship game against the Jaguars in 2018. The year they played the Eagles in the Super Bowl. He ended up playing though. He wasn't 100%, but he played. Pats won, as we all know. I'm almost positive Brady was 100% sure in his mind that he was playing. They just didn't want to let the Jaguars know anything about the seriousness of the injury and what not.
Richard Sherman was also very smart, a lot of people who trash him don’t seem to understand that. I give props to anyone who can play football and endure academics at a top college like Stanford.
You don’t just go to Stanford for just football you know. It’s one of the few schools where academic excellency is just as important as being an athlete
Just Ruckus that’s what makes the athletes impressive. Not just do they compete in a power 5 conference, but they excel in academics at one of the top schools in the U.S. Ivy League schools may be good at sports too, but none of them have a football team in a power 5 conference like Stanford.
you're right. he doesn't even have to make sense, or stick to the point, or present any facts; he will just keep talking. very hard to debate with those kind of people.
herogibson dude there wasn’t any facts he needed to use. He used the only fact that mattered in that he doesn’t work for brown so it’s not it’s not fair to compare a boss to employee relationship, to a friendship? I don’t know Brandon browns relationship with Richard Sherman so I couldn’t say for sure.
There was a lot of dumb questions but the one that probably killed me most was “Do fans have a right to know-” The answer is automatically “No”. We the fans don’t have a right to know anything. We have a right to go to a game to see a team play. Anything else is completely circumstantial.
There’s almost nothing worse than someone, especially a media person, that cannot humble themselves and admit that they were wrong. Sherman isn’t going to let you get off easy and it’s just embarrassing.
MrBwincali420 I carefully chose the word especially because everyone should have humility. But the media, being an outlet that provides the public with truths, should hold this standard as high, if not higher than everyone else when on the job. Fake news, regardless of the sector, causes a ton of damage to the person of interest or to the public. And to be frank bro, I’m not sure how you even insinuate that I would think Sherman can never be wrong, when I was clearly reacting to the video clip/example. In that clip, the reporter was getting flustered and couldn’t just move on. She had to keep arguing for a storyline, which I personally found to be embarrassing, because a comment section is full of opinions.
ikr some are just senseless douchbags that treat them with no respect, they ask the dumbest shit over and over and when the athlete loses composure they act all offended like chill out they’re the reason you have a job act like a decent person
MrBwincali420 you sound like a idiot try to make sherman look wrong .. I dont like shernan as a player but one this is for sure that guy is not dumb at all only a stupid idioot like you would think something like that and I know why ..
Journalists need quotes for articles and soundbites for video/audio. If you ask "did you think the offensive line did well today?" they're gonna say "yes" or "no" (especially if they want to be difficult), which is completely useless. However, if you say "tell me about the pass protection today," they at least have to give you one sentence - unless they're Marshawn Lynch.
Quite big of you to try to hurt people online. A world without journalism would be a dark one. Any given moment you can see what happened in North America or Asia today. Without journalism you wouldn't know at all.
The Lynch "yeah" interview might be his best in a long list of his bit of not talking to reporters. "I'm only here so I don't get fined" got so much attention because it was in the media day during Super Bowl week, but it was built up to get to that level of attention over the preceding months. It was also one of the rare ones where he knew just how great it was, and you can see him break character and laugh at the bit himself. Add in that it was after the Sunday night game in AZ where they clinched the division, and how huge of a game he had and just gets better.

Watching them attempting to interview Marshawn is painful.

Marshawn looks like that kid in school who is put in the spotlight when he wasnt paying attention in class
Yeahh
severe social anxiety but he handles it well
It isn’t anxiety though. He’s got his head on straight and he’s paying attention ALL the time. He sees past those meaningless questions he’s bombarded with. He does more for young kids out there than any of those other players, but they want to harass him with character judging questions, demanding how he feels in a game. He's Funny it's like a joke

There’s almost nothing worse than someone, especially a media person, that cannot humble themselves and admit that they were wrong. Sherman isn’t going to let you get off easy and it’s just embarrassing.
yeah whats worse than that is pretty much anytime sherman opens his mouth to speak.
so is sherman going to admit he was wrong? or does that just apply to media?

There's gotta be hours and hours of Bill Belichick vs the media.
brady trying his best to not crack a smile has me rolling
I seriously hate when reporters ask someone to “talk about” something
yeah
Facts. It's not even a question lol

@5:21 the moment Sherman recognized Karen had infiltrated the situation
The Lynch "yeah" interview might be his best in a long list of his bit of not talking to reporters. "I'm only here so I don't get fined" got so much attention because it was in the media day during Super Bowl week, but it was built up to get to that level of attention over the preceding months. It was also one of the rare ones where he knew just how great it was, and you can see him break character and laugh at the bit himself. Add in that it was after the Sunday night game in AZ where they clinched the division, and how huge of a game he had and just gets better.
