This was very helpful; I am having a hard time finding information about mensur in a language I understand, so this video was very appreciated. I'm still looking for some information though; does the duel end once someone gets cut, or does it not end until they reached the number of rounds, regardless of if someone got cut or not? I've seen historical photos that show multiple cuts and both people bloodied, but everything I've read says they fight until first blood. But nothing I've read mentions things like rounds divided by number strokes. Like I said, it's hard to find information on mensur in English.
The Mensur ends, when a) the defined number of rounds is reached or b) someone is hurt in a way, that a continuation of the fight could be dangerous So of course you can get a few cuts in one Mensur, but at the first serious cut the fight is stopped.
