- Here is a very affordable budget flashlight from Nicron with their N7! This can run on both AA (250 lumens) or 14500 (600 lumens) cells. This uses a Samsung LED to provide up to 600 lumens. The head can be angled by 90 degrees. This also has a magnetic tail cap for easy placement on metal surfaces. See link below to Nicron's Amazon store below which this is priced at $13.99:

11:13 I like how the hands slowly retract at the end.
Thanks for watching!
Like Ricky Bobby!
I'm upset that there's no link to the 14500 rechargeable battery
Bought two of these on Amazon Black Friday Deals, for $11.24 each, for my wife, and myself as part of our EDC. They so far, are great for the price.
Glad you like them. Thanks for watching!
Are those flashlights still working 2 years later?
7:08 "In the wildernessssss" love it
Thanks for watching!
Got one today. Very impressive
Thanks for watching!
Do the 14500 batteries require a specific mains wall charger different to the normal for AA batteries? And if poss what would be the best type to purchase for this N7. Thanks. :)
XTAR VC4 or Nitecore i4 or D4 will do. Thanks for watching!
Another great bang for the buck flashlight, thank you for another great review video, liked so much, ordered 2 more. Even with primary AA it is good, with 14500 it is a little beast, I like it more then the lumnitop tool aa, (which is great in its self) N7 has a better beam color and pattern for me. I like the modern technology double AA lights of today, carry a 18650 less and less, 16340 size is my next favorite sze as of late, (wowtac W1 is killer at the price) Keep it up sir, your gonna nickel and dime me broke lol.
Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec love your reviews. One thing, the one I have (2 more on the way) the UI is slightly different. I have to hold button for a second to turn on and off. It also turns on in the brightness it was at when turned off, so has memory.
Would have liked to see you test it with a regular aa battery for those who don't have 14500 batteries.
Also, was the head hot with the 14500
Yes it will get hot but cycle down quickly to keep heat low. Thanks for watching!
Hi Charles, my B74 has the green ring and you have to hold the button for a couple of seconds for it to switch on. I guess that’s to stop you bumping it on when it’s in your pocket. Great video. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺

Funnily enough, I ordered one of these as well just yesterday. However, this time I did see a review on another channel of this before I bought it. The review prompted. So now I'm gonna get your take on it. I really like the features of this light and especially the price. It's costing me 50 Aussie dollars with express shipping from OS, but a lot of that was the shipping.

In my country you can get that for 10$ plus $0.80 shipping.
Jeez for 13 bucks that seems like a pretty good deal to me. Rofis also has some very nice lights with the swivel head design, but they are a lot more expensive.
Yes indeed! Thanks for watching!
I have 2 units N7. One has the same UI as what you have shown, while the other one is different. Long press for ON, another long press for OFF. It turns ON from the last brightness setting you turned it OFF. Memory setting I guess. Strobe and SOS on double clicks. As i'm too lazy to read the manual, I don't know if this is really the case with these flashlights (mode 1 and mode 2)?
Could be a different firmware batch of lights. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec Each light was from different orders and were delivered separately. Maybe a different firmware indeed. Thanks and cheers from the Philippines!
Mine has a problem where it cuts off for no reason after 10 seconds to a minute after I turn it on.. Is it overheating inside? any suggestions to fix problem?
Try another battery to see of it still does it. Take care.
Can the clear lens be replaced easily or is pressed into the cap permanently?
Its glued to bezel so you would have to reglue a new one on. Thanks for watching!
Wow very nice 👍
Thanks for watching!
BridgTec you gotta get your hands on that Fireflies E07 6,900 Lumens Flood, Thrower combo, that little Giant looks Awesome, and do it for your reviews, because you do the best outdoor yard reviews, with the same Targets to light up.
If I get a sample of one I sure would. Put in a good word for me. LOL Thanks for watching!
The N7 is sold now as the B74e in asia pacific markets. I found that the quality of the machining dropped when the light became popular. Mine and others arrived with a lot of dings on the handle. The paint is still intact, meaning the dents occured before the painting/aniodizing process during production. The B74 is a better buy since it has better QA than the newer N7's. Also there seems to be a thermal issue on the N7/B74e due to not having enough thermal paste applied for heat sinking.
I nor any members of my FB group had any quality issues you described. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec Maybe the QA is better on the products meant for the US market I guess :)
I had just purchased one it still looks good and nice for my edc...love it
@@lloydmagin8186 Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec I got the N81 shipped by Amazon from the US, the QA is so much better there (sample size of one) haha. I got to know it from your review and shared it to our facebook group. Everyone kept asking where I got it too bad it's not available in our country. The N81 can put out a floody beam which is good for a wider field of view in close proximity :)
Hi Charles I believe this is the older model N7 the newer model has a glowing O Ring on the head and you have to press and hold for 2 seconds before turning it on.
This review is old as well which I did almost 2 years ago. Thanks for watching!
You are correct, I just purchased an N7 and indeed it now has a glowing O-ring in the head of the flashlight around the lens, and you have to hold for a couple seconds to turn it on, I think the button has been upgraded as well...
would this work with regular batteries or only rechargeable ones
Yes regular AA cells but will not be as bright. Thanks for watching!
Charles BridgTec how bright would you think it would be with regular cells?
About 270 lumens on the highest output. Take care.
Awesome and affordable. Didn't catch if it had memory mode or not ?
No memory. Always starts on high. Thanks for watching!
I just got one and it DOES have memory.
Is the LED really white? Any tint?
The tint is just above 5000k. Thanks for watching!
Why do they have to put the clip in chrome instead of black???
It wold make it look 100% better
Thanks for watching!
Hi I’ve got one of these and a 14500 battery. And no difference in brightness to the standard 1.2 v batt. I have tested the batt and it is giving out 3.6 volts but same brightness where is the 600 lummens. What should I do
The battery should be at 4.2v for the 3.6v is nominal. You need to charge it fully to 4.2v. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec it is not a rechargeable battery
@@martinwebb7176 If its not rechargeable then its a 3.0v cell. What brand is the cell? Is it a one time use 1.5v lithium cell?

Is there a way to remove the magnet so that I won't worry about damaging the electronic. Or else I might try demagnetise the magnet
You can try to remove the ring nut in the tail cap with ring pliers to see if it can be removed. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec which flashlight with a UV light would you recommend
@@sleekemu356 Nicron makes one but I can't remember the model number....
@@CharlesBridgTec would the nitecore p20i uv be better or the nicron B75 uv. The nicron seems more cheaper but does the head swivel ever loosen up over time and how strong is the waterproof?
IPX8 is the usual for flashlights.
How long does a double a last in this flashlight
On high about 2 hours. Thanks for watching!

I would not do that. Thanks for watching!
I would like to know how to charge this.
Via charging port. Thanks for watching!
Does it have a memory feature where it remembers the last mode used when turned on again?
No. Thanks for watching!
Some guys says it does have for the low and high settings only. Will confirm once mine arrives. Lol
It does remember the last output setting but only works for the high and low. Strobe not included. Just received mine today. Thanks for the review.
@@budgetlightph7814 Its UI has been upgraded since my review. Glad you like it.

How come you want those?
I bought one last month.I used it 2 times for a total of about 10 minutes. Now it does not anymore...will not turn on.Out $15.99
Exchange it where you bought it. Try another battery. Thanks for watching!
Hi ,
Just a fyi. I purchased the NIcron N7 after your good review and just kept it in the car as an emergency light.
Never used it except testing it a few times. Did not drop it, expose it to water or anything adverse that could compromise the light.
Now it doesn't work at all. Tried many new and rechargeable batteries and light has gone dead. Does not work!
Not a good long term light. Build quality looks good but functionality is a failure. Waste of money..
Sorry to hear this but it does have a warranty. Thanks for watching!
Where is the Usb PORT????
I clearly show the light does not have one. Thanks for watching?
@@CharlesBridgTec I have never seen a USB port on the battery. Believe me, it took a lot of searching before someone showed that it is on the battery. The instruction manual that came with this did not show it either.
@@thekingofbohemia1 Well I used an Efest cell and it does not have a USB port. This is an old review and maybe they include a cell with it now.
@@CharlesBridgTec The funny thing is, the other Nicrons that are similar like the N7, have some kind of port that is kind of hidden and I was looking on the N9 somewhere on the outer ring and I was going nuts trying to figure it out. Apparently, the battery has the USB C port and there is a charging light on the battery itself! Thanks!
only 1 hour burn time on high, and only 2 hrs on low ? no thanks
This is quite common for EDC lights. As for longer runtimes use a AA cell which is 2.5 hours on high but less output. Thanks for watching!
You could carry 4 car batteries in parallel now that would burn a long long time.
such wisdom . Wow
TY and I'm damned good looking. I am the total package.
