These are so good for emulating old games
It only gives the CRT vibe.... But trust me, playing things like PS2/Xbox/Wii sucks ASS!
@@Poodleinacanwhat do you mean none of those consoles need the converter at all? you just plug em straight into the crt
@@r00kiet80I use it for playing old games on my crt all the time and it works perfectly
@@Poodleinacan Not gonna trust you, because you're flat out wrong.
This man gets it
I'm so glad you showed blender in there, I've always been curious what it would look like on a CRT
You saved my life I'm gonna have to look into this because I bought a used one with a burn out but the image is still visible pretty good. I was plan on dual booting and keeping classic TV on me hopefully I don't burn out my gaming set up by dual monitoring with a CRT TV and retro futuristic display set up I'm trying to petition to bring back CRT TVs if anyone wants to help me let me know thanks I need a lot of help to doing this anything should be possible in the future!
Get an older card like 9600GT and older and they have a plug that works with S-video and component through a breakaway cable.
You ain't gonna be running blender with such an old card tho?
@@urbancats1you can have both cards in the same system and use the 9600 just as video out
thanks for the adapter recomendation, i've been looking for a good one
This is just wholesome. love crts :)
Thank you for this!!
You're so welcome!
Defiantly trying this thanx
Soooo cool!!
Does it actually allow 4:3. A lot of cheaper ones try to squish 16:9 instead
Question ive done something very similar to this with a laptop and I was wondering what Resolution Have you got set for it? Thanks
yeah, me too
Cool 😊

Was able to kind of get this working, but mouse clicks just don’t seem to register for the most part. Overscan is pretty bad, but I feel like I can mostly deal with it if it’s just for streaming. Hoping I can get to the bottom of it.
how is it no signal
Nice
Do you have an amazon link?
Would this work with an M1 Macbook Pro if I used an HDMI to USB-4 adaptor?
I don't see why not! 👍
my computers most dont have hdmi cuz i havent bought a new computer in like ever
what if you have the older crt tv still colored just takes rf
Yup that's correct you'll just have to have the necessary adapters to go from your setup down to RF
What's this model called?
question i have a mac and i’m trying to get it to connect to my crtv, i have the RCA cables running from the tv into the HDMI to AV converter and then i have the HMDI going from the converter into my mac and the the small cord that powers the converter i have that also plugged into my mac but the picture won’t show up? do you have any ideas what i’m doing wrong
this is also happening to me
3 thoughts come to mind with this. 1 the converter may not be getting enough power, 2 if it has an ntsc-pal switch try messing with that, and 3 if you are using one of those $10 small plastic ones i've had experience with them just being bunk and not working. Other than that, i dont use mac. Hope this helps!
@@InnerFreq haha i ended figuring it out, the box i originally bought wasn’t powerful enough to get a connection through so i bought a more powerful box and it ended up working
@@cam4001 which one did you end up purchasing?
@@cam4001what’s a box? I’m getting a crt today to hook to my Mac I want this to run smoothly
it doesnt show up on my pc ive been trying for hours
Does it add any latency?
yes, this is not actually a good option
It's fine and not very noticeable things that don't require precision.
just curious, is there any input lag?
nope! :D
@@InnerFreqdoes this automatically scale to 480p?
lol what’s the refresh rate
60hz actually lol 😂
@@InnerFreq wut
check out the difference with the RGB signal. 10000 times better, trust me. The one you use is called composite, which is last resort.
If you mean YPBPR component video, these TVs do not have those connections which is why I use the composite:) Would be nice if they did tho! Thx!
@@InnerFreq Nope! YPbPr is a component - not a compoSITE. RGB is something different, you won't regret getting some info! Best
@XaveryBnerd Sweet! Sounds dope. What kind of connector/setup do I need to use the RGB method your describing. Cheers 🤙🏼
@@InnerFreq He mean scart rgb or s-video i think. Ur tv might have it.
@@InvictusCore Ok cool I'll have to check it out thanks!
I've bought three adapters but none of them work. IDK what to do.
Damn so sorry to hear that. The one's we use are just cheap one's from amazon. I hope you find one that works good luck!
This is not actually a good option. This is absolutely not displaying proper resolutions.
why? how to proper use/connect a crt monitor?
@@EnormeEkoH you would need crt-emudriver and a gpu capable of analog output
@@InkDrop. What if i wanna play modern games
@@EnormeEkoH It's actually a pain to do this
