CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE R2022: Lighting, Ambiance and Camera

  • In Catia V5 the lighting is a magical tool that a lot of Class A people used. A lot. For taking a deep look at their newly designed parts.
    In 3DEXPERIENCE the lighting panel was shifted in to the Ambiance and Camera.

    man i miss this channel, there are so little class a surfacing resources online....
    working as a class a surfacer early in my career was the most fun and challenging experience i have ever had...

      Currently I am doing NC Surface modelling for Cam programming. So if u have some methods for curve smoothening and to draw curves on surface patches in nx.

    Nice video! What is, in your opinion, the best CAD package for DIRECT MODELNG? Current using Fusion360, but looking for something with better performance for my work...

      Direct modeling on STL or B-REP data?
      I use NX a lot for B-REP stuff. The STL tools with convergent are really incredible as well but it causes the system to chug and bog a lot.
      V5-V6 has great tools as well. The STL tools are really fabulous. The way Catia renders does not cause the bog downs the way NX does.

      @@ClassASurfacing Almost exclusively B-REP. Fusion works really well until I import models with a lot really complex geometry (customer data). Once it runs over 15GB of RAM utilization (32GB installed), it starts to really bog-down...
