This man is already in heaven! Beautiful roads, the alluring throaty thrum and the flowing, balanced handling of a T150/T160 - who needs 100+ BHP? - over 60-80 bhp its all bullshit and lost licenses, or worse.
Bringing back such memories of my T160 Trident from the mid 70's! Had the electric start option but loved kick starting that 750 high compression beauty to life!
That is a bone-dry garage. Good video. I liked the start - paddling it out of the garage and trundling down the drive, chatting to the neighbours, very homely. I remember sitting at the top of Sutton bank and watching a Trident and GT750 (Suzuki triple) going down. At the bottom they both opened it up : and the Trident left the GT for dead. That will have been back in 1979, I was on my GS750 in those days.
wish he'd revd it a bit harder just so we could hear that lovely induction roar.......the best sound to come from a motorcycle.....nothing gets even close....
Excellent video. Impressed at how you got the engine and exhaust sound without any irritating wind noise. Did you use a plug in mic? Wish we had roads like yours down here in Sussex. I hope to start on my T150 based TRIBSA soon!
I owned a customT160 in the eighties the bike was featured in bike magazine at the time the bike was called the tyne trident what a bike wish i still had it ..
Sounds very nice!, resync your carbs at 2500 RPM's instead of at idle and you'll get rid of that light throttle stumble, check the low speed mix as well as you may have one that's a tad off, or partially clogged. (15 yr part time triumph mechanic...)
Nice video! I sure miss my T-160. I put a set of 26 mm Mikuni carbs on it. WOW! It was one of the best things I did. 51 miles to the gallon, better throttle response and changes in altitude were no problem! THANKS!!!
We feel the potential of the triple at this time among the twin in crusing relax. We can imagine the sucess if it had been marketed 5 years before the venue of the honda 4 as the story told us...
No other bike sounds like a Trident. Had a '73 T150 that unfortunately embedded itself in the quarter panel of a car that ran a stop sign. 3rd gear was fantastic.
Max - looking at this brings back some great memories. In the late 70's I had a T150 with a 3:1 pipe sounded beautiful, VCO872M are you still around? Also had a T160 in the early 90's which is the best looking Brit Bike I have ever owned, still regret selliing it - PYH488R pretty sure you are still out there. These days I ride around on Kawasaki Triples, although I have an H2 it does not match the sound of the Trident. Looks like you were riding in Wales some nice biking roads around there. Hope you continue to enjoy that bike.
typical triumph the bars are slightly out off true to the front end in a straight line, need to loosen clamps and get em straight had that issue many times with those metalastic bushes
derek latham I had a T150V it wasn't that noisy on the top end are your tapit adjusters running on the flat , mind short cone exhausts with the baffles taken out we are a bit
I had a couple of T150s that made me a very happy man back in the day.

Wow,there's an eerie, brooding quality to the sound! The four stroke triple, what a marvellous engine type!

it always done my head in when they discontinued the trident rather than the twin! ♡
Love that 3 cylinder sound 🔊
What a lovely sound she makes!

nice bike video there, good camera angle and sound of the engine and not wind noise thanks
Memories. Loved mine. Until an early Laverda triple came past me. Wonder where mine is now.

New slides and bodies are the starting point, similar metals wear alot, amals are cheap and fairly efficient, easy to set up.

Yes, sure The timing was bad...
Hi Max, your bike is sounding great.👍👍🇦🇺

Nice view of the bike............
Brilliant video 👍
Brilliant. Thank you for posting this.

CRUISING!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I think the BSA frame was lighter because it was lugless. Do you think these bikes handle as well good as a Norton ?
Where is this filmed? Somewhere up North England?
pbruc brooks: The Lake District. He passes a sign for Grange-Over-Sands.
nice motor bike roads
Jump Forty Four they sure are!
hey, my t160 has a noisey top end just like yours, are they all like that?
They're as noisy as it gets...
derek latham I had a T150V it wasn't that noisy on the top end are your tapit adjusters running on the flat , mind short cone exhausts with the baffles taken out we are a bit
Yes normal, many other noises to listen for though
how come your needles don't waggle around?
Because they haven't been bent
A LOT OFF LADS FITTING KEIHIN CARBS THESE DAYS SUPPOSED TO BE THE NUTS MIGHT TAKE MY T150V TO P&M ONE DAY FOR THAT.
Carbs are out of sync.
