O my goodness . Thank you! I was looking for preschool hands on curriculum . There was one that I particularly liked but its 145 dollars! I am going to attempt to make some some hands on manipulatives for my son and laminate them. This definitely saves me a lot of money!

I'm re-watching your video. Doing some TpT homework, on if I should jump on board and all that. I don't have Powerpoint, but I have Photoshop :)
Photoshop is super powerful! I’ve never used it, but a lot of people do really well with it!
I used Libre Office when I first started on TPT. Not quite as user-friendly as PowerPoint but I was still able to create flattened products to upload to TPT
Hi Becca, Thank you very much for your tips. I am in Australian and we use A4 paper. I just realized that I should probably be making My products on letter size paper!! Perhaps that's why I'm struggling to sell anything!!

Hi Becca, you could possibly do a video explaining the licensing protocols needed for fonts, clipart and digital paper.
For making them? I don't make them so I'm not sure. The best thing I can think of is to read other people's terms of use.

I am new to TPT and plan on opening up my store soon. My question is: I have seen amazing resources that go along with popular books (ex. The Very Hungry Caterpillar). How is copyright handled when it comes to creating content to sell on TPT in that situation?
This is a huge grey area. From what I can tell (and please do your own research), you can do resources that GO ALONG WITH a book or are INSPIRED BY a book, but you can't use the cover of the book or the words or anything like that. Also, you may want to check on trademarks. Some book series (like The Very Hungry Caterpillar) are trademarked, which means you can't use them. Just make sure you are very clear that it goes along with the book, but that you don't own the book and all of that stuff. Again-- do your own research on the topic too!

Exactly, found out the hard way about uploading fonts to google slides. It’s so frustrating. I have an awesome product that I need to fix one page and may have to redo the whole thing! It’s 100+pages. 😭

Becca Davis The sale was good! August had been absolutely dead and it boosted my earnings significantly. Now that school is back in session sales are getting more consistent again 😀
Card games are where I think I could do my best work but I’d be interested in seeing how board games are made also!
Yay! School being in session has made a huge difference for me too! I have never made either of them, but I had planned on making some games anyway, so I'll let you know once I know how to do it!

Save it as a PDF? Just click save as and then click the drop down where it says PowerPoint and change it to pdf

Yes! It’s (c) 2020 R. Davis, BeccasMusicRoom.com or sometimes just the name and not the website. It depends on the product and the size

How do you lock images in powerpoint, but leave somethings editable in the document for buyers to edit? For example I am making student gift tags and I want everything to be locked down except for the space where the buyer can type their name.
I love the information that you are providing! I stumbled across your channel last week as I have decided to start my own TPT store. You mentioned that you put a trademark at the bottom of your product. Would you suggest getting a logo and store name trademarked before selling products?
That’s definitely something to consider but you don’t have to do it before you start selling products. Especially since that is kind of an expensive process. But eventually yes it’s a good idea to do that

Thank you for your videos! I think I have watched all of them relating to TPT and they are really helpful. I do have a question. I just read somewhere that you can't use a personal version of PowerPoint to make your resources, you have to purchase a business or commercial version. Do you know if that is true? Okay, I had 2 questions. =) Can we use the generic clip art that is in PowerPoint in resources we are going to sell? Thanks so much!
Hi Juli! Sorry about the late reply.... I did not know the answer. I did not research and, from what I can tell, you do NOT need to buy the business one unless you need the other features. Home is fine. I also found that clip art is fine as long as it is from Microsoft (although I’m not sure how to tell if it’s from Microsoft or from a third party though), although they ask that you put “used with permission from Microsoft.” Here’s a link to the article I found www.microsoft.com/en-us/legal/intellectualproperty/permissions/default
Hi Becca, I have a question, Can I write or put like a Signature on the bottow of the worksheet?
I have created a TPT product to share with other counselors using a font I bought, however, whenever I share that resource, the font changes when the other counselors download it. What do I need to do to my product to stop this from happening? Thank you so much!
It needs to either be a PDF or you can flatten it by making images of every page and reinserting into a new PowerPoint. That happens because the other people dont have the same fonts
Where do we find the information on how to use things when making products for TPT and not breaking copyright laws?
For things purchased on TPT, the seller should provide you with guidelines in their Terms of Use page. The general rule is, if you did not make it, you need to at least cite it. If it is free, double check that it is ok to use. Anything specific-- Google.

On TPT! Just search and then use the filter for "free"
Hi. I have started making products for TpT on Google Slides. I tried printing something with a border from there and from pdf form and it didn't fit on the whole page. How do you make these printable to fit on the whole page?
JACLYN DANCSECS hi Jaclyn! Make sure you change the slide size so that it is letter paper size. That should help!

Becca, Do you know if we can use Adobe graphics on our TPT products and student worksheets?
I am not sure. Google adobe terms of use and you should be able to find that sort of stuff out. I’ve never used it before
I am late to this but have you used Canva ? You can set your designs as backgrounds on slides
I use Canva for some things but the rules about whether or not you can use them in your products are fuzzy to say the least. They’ve been very conflicting lately.
Hi Becca! I have been watching your videos and you mention copyright. I went to the United States copyright page and was scared to death. Could you tell me which copyright did you register for individual or standard?
Hi Amber! You do not not need to register your copyright. You automatically have the copyright of anything you create. If you want to trademark to protect your work, you can, but it's a lot of work and some money so I would only trademark big product lines you are worried about people stealing.
Super informative, thank you! Becca, is there a way, other than leaving a file in PP form, for teachers to edit them? I'm making ESL worksheets, and I would like to make the names on my worksheets editable, since names can often be tricky for ELL students to learn (think teacher and classmate names). Thank you for posting these videos, they've been invaluable on my TpT journey :)
The easiest way is going to be to do the PowerPoint. You can also make editable PDFs but those require specialized tools. I would suggest just going with the PowerPoint

Do you happen to know where I could go to purchase photographs to use on my TPT products? I like to use the clipart but also may want to use real photographs on my products. I'm having difficulty find where I can access this. If you can help I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
Yes! Those are called stock photos, and if you Google Stock photos, you can find a bunch of websites that have them! Most of them you have to pay for (some have monthly subscriptions). I like one that I think is called istockphoto. Canta also has quite a few stock photos (some free, some paid) on their website, if you click photos and then type in what you're after. Hope that's helpful!

Hi Kate! I use QuickTime, which comes free on Macs. You can also use Screencastify, which is a Chrome browser extension. They offer a free version, although I think your video can only be like 5 minutes with the free version.
