Apart from Chris being a proper decent lad I admire his work ethic. Never shy’s away from anything and gets on with it methodically. You make a great team lads.
It is hard to believe that only a few years ago, Chris was too shy to be in front of Camera, now he is so confident and he really knows his stuff and makes it look so easy. Great job yet again from Chris while Rob is hiding outside and going to get the Coffee.
You write as though these videos are the "Chris Show" with no one else involved. Rest assured without Rob's producing, directing, scripting, content input, editing and organisation there would be no "Salvage Rebuilds" as we enjoy it. To me and I'm sure many more subscribers, the success of the channel is the way Rob and Chris gel and bring together their areas of expertise.
Chris is so organized it's frightening. I just have visions of him at home. Just making a cuppa..lined up on the surface..tea bag, milk, sugar, teaspoon, cup, saucer. And then there's the sandwich..bread, butter, filling, knife, condiments and tape measure just to make sure it is cut in exactly half.😂😂 And the strange thing about it...he can see it all, his brain has got everything ready, and a few minutes later a perfect cuppa and sandwich. I just wish I could be that sorted....fair play to him. Thanks for another great video Rob. I hope you both have a lovely few days off. I was actually born in 1952 so I was actually 3 months old when HM ascended to the throne!!!
I was very impressed when he took off a mirror and, before he picked up the new one, had already switched the (electric) screwdriver to "do up" rather than undo. So, unlike me, he was ready to go... I would have had to put them both down to sort it out.
I can totally sympathize with Chris trying to remember how the Audi goes back together. I’m just now putting my Citroen DS 21 back together after 25 years! I’m sure he’ll figure it out. Love the way he lays out all the parts. Enjoy your long weekend gents!!
Hello Rob and Chris, just been watching and admiring how Chris is so methodical in his work practice, which takes time but makes the job easier in the long run, and you can see what is there or missing! The use of the sealent and gun was just amazing! (I would have gone and sprayed everything, including myself!! Hope you both shall have a good few days away from the workshop and with your families. Best wishes from Lincolnshire.
Nice to see the long term projects are getting sorted. Ive said it before, you both make this channel mainstream television worthy. Keep up doing what we all love. 👊
Rob, you really do sell yourself short. Without your racing around the countryside chasing parts and repairs, researching availability and researching repairs Chris wouldn't get quite as much done. That's what teamwork is all about. Nice to see the A1 moving along again though as you say you still have to make a living so it's understandable. Perhaps one day the Range Rover will leave the shop and you won't know what to do with the space. Great video again Rob, thanks.
As usual a great video Chris must have a photographic memory to manage to get all those parts in the correct order his attention to detail is second to none looking forward to seeing this little audi live again.
Changing a gearbox/fifth gear etc, I like those videos but it's stuff I can do myself. But rebuilding a seriously battered car, that is what I like to see as I didn't know how you would go about a job like that. Bodywork seems like black magic to me. I love the way Chris organises his bench, that shows professional training to a high degree for sure? I wonder who taught him and if he is watching these videos with a big smile on his face😁
What a great team these two guys make, really experienced car specialist's and work so well together, car is going to be a lovely ride for someone when finished guys, and love the background music as well!
About time this was dusted off and finished, its been hanging around for way too long! Agree with the new strategy of trying to complete the long term projects - otherwise they are just cluttering up the Yard / shed and taking up room. Really look forward to seeing the A1 completed & painted!
Makes me smile when you say brand new 2nd hand. You said it previously on another video as well regarding a battery. Reminds me of some of the classic sayings that people have come up with at my work such as look how far you can't see and going abroad in this country! 😂
Thanks for resuming the 2016 Audi, always look forward to Chris preparing the engine bay with outwork, so methodical, enjoy 😉 the long weekend Rob. Take care. 😄👏👌👍
Great to see the A1 going back together such a challenge for Chris to put it back together when it's been so long since it was stripped down. Enjoyed your new music, sounds like you both have a plan for the way you are going to work in the future so good luck with that.
Iv had the week off work it's been lovely so far going to an air show with the kids tomorrow and family but I love being able to watch you both work on cars on the evenings not been following you guys for to long now but love the channel and been watching thru alot of ur videos from the beginning thru and you guys are just amazing good honest genuine lovely people.
I am with other comments in that I like to watch seriously mangled vehicles being properly repaired. I am fairly capable with mechanical repairs as well as electrical issues, however what you both do is on a level beyond my skill set and I learn from these videos. The Audi A1 is a fantastic car, very popular with youth and pensioners alike. Many have the S-Tronic (DSG) gearbox.
It doesn’t surprise me that Chris has all the parts, nuts and bolts systematically laid out, it the way he works, truly a master tradesman! Fantastic video content and a pleasure to watch.
Definitely good quality products. I would highly recommend them from the stuff I've used. Their black plastic trim dye is one of the few that actually does the job. All Mini owners need a tube of this stuff.
Great seeing the audi getting somewhere and ye keeping all the viewers informed on what the plans are in terms of projects.Cheers for the video and i hope ye both have a nice long weekend.😁👍
So good to see this lovely little car getting the attention it deserves. Will make a really nice buy for someone. Rob, the new music tracks you're using are excellent. If you've got time, a credit for the artist in the links would be nice 👍
You two compliment each other perfectly and the results are spectacular. I bet that the major insurance approved bodyshops don’t pay as much attention to detail, despite all their QA procedures. 👍😎
Thanks gents, great to watch how you both work together and achieve your goals , inspirational gents love your vids, and all the technical info you tell us for free on all things you deal with 👏👍
Being from Essex originally, I never thought lads from Kent were the real deal :) . But seriously watching you chaps work I am very very impressed with your professionalism. You put a lot of effort and care in to your work. Well done!
Great video guys, Chris is definitely showing his ocd side with his organisation 😉 but as my mum used to say A place for everything and everything in its place. That way you know where everything is. Looking forward to seeing this one finished. 👍
Another lovely piece, thanks. I'm no fan of jigsaw puzzles, so all the best Chris with this one. Really good to see Chris on camera more and how methodical he is. Gave a good break, chaps.
Love the way Chris is so methodical about ever part of his life, work , farm etc. I admire him and would love to have a mate like him. Your a top bloke too rob. Allways on top of things and pushing forward. I bet u tube was your idea. First class team lads and I look forward to seeing all your content for 2022. Have a great jubilee guys. 👍🤴🏼
Great job by Chris, you can tell he takes pride in his wk, by the way he organize everything in order, before he start putting it back together.Look forwards to seeing your video Rob, on friday, have a great wkend the pair of you.
Hello Rob and Chris, another great video which, once again, shows great team work. Car is looking great. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. GED.
It was part of my job doing the mastic joints around the glass brick and I would have have loved to have had an air mastic gun, oh the time that would have saved me , ps and the amount of oaths that I shouted as well, great to see a true pro at work always makes it look so easy, top man Chris
Ah, that explains your remark of a couple of days back. It all makes sense now. The rebuild is a total mystery jigsaw-kit when you have to strip things down that far, find replacement parts and rebuild. It keeps the mind sharp and Chris has the fine makings for that role, his eye for detail is excellent.
With nuts and bolts, I often pair them up with components as i take them off. Even if the thing you're removing is knackered you then know what you need to get new of and what is/isn't missing. Each to their own though and I feel like Chris' organising would work well for me too. Bit of cardboard and a sharpy as well would help, and i know chris has done this before (the recent DSG gearbox mechantronics unit).
Evening Guy’s. Nothing better that watching Chris do his magic 🪄 You both give fantastic information on what your up to keeping your channel fresh 😂 Have a lovely bank holiday weekend to with your families 🤩
Vorsprung hoist technic by the master. Young jedi learns that silence allows others to use the force with effects beyond your imagination. keep em coming and crack on
Same way I do it laying everything out.. but you need some hairy balls to completely strip the front and bay and be confident to put every nut and bolt back 😳.. but its chris, so all in an mornings graft for lad 🙌
Rob and Chris, your videos are always so calming. Love the work you both do. Your channel is the one I always let the adverts play to try and get the revenue up. Have a great long bank holiday chaps👍
I wish I worked so methodically,,,unscrew 100 and end up with minus 10 every time ,,I'm going to take a leaf from Chris's book from tomorrow 😕 Brilliant 👏 👍 as always 👏
excellent video chaps chris is they type of chap every workshop needs ive been in the motor trade over 30 yrs now and its so refreshing to see a proper ‘’old skool’’ engineer at work have a great bank holiday weekend you 2 and …see you in the next one!
Another top quality repair guys. The next owner of this car will be getting a nice example. It just highlights the proper tools, materials and quality parts make all the difference.
Apart from Chris being a proper decent lad I admire his work ethic. Never shy’s away from anything and gets on with it methodically. You make a great team lads.
What a great comment. Very true

@@geordieron5864 thanks for that
It’s fantastic hearing Chris explaining things. He’s such a humble man
It is a pleasure to see how organized and structured Chris is working ,well done mate
Chris has got to be one of, if not the most skilled man on RUclips!! Could listen to him explain stuff all day long. Much respect 🙏
It is a pleasure to see how organized and structured Chris is working - probably reducing errors and improving efficiency.
He’s a machine! Can do anything!
Chris is so organized it's frightening. I just have visions of him at home. Just making a cuppa..lined up on the surface..tea bag, milk, sugar, teaspoon, cup, saucer. Yes I was born in August 1952.
I was very impressed when he took off a mirror and, before he picked up the new one, had already switched the (electric) screwdriver to "do up" rather than undo. So, unlike me, he was ready to go... I would have had to put them both down to sort it out.
I do admire you guys you do proper job on motors no bodge jobs, great job Chris.
Best car channel I know. Honest, hard working and no theatrics or BS. Crack on guys!
I can totally sympathize with Chris trying to remember how the Audi goes back together. I’m just now putting my Citroen DS 21 back together after 25 years! I’m sure he’ll figure it out. Love the way he lays out all the parts. Enjoy your long weekend gents!!
It makes you speechless to be honest how good Chris is, how does he remember what goes where!! Not forgetting Rob with his skills as well. 👍👍👍👍👍
You really are magicians, just wish there were more stand up, skilled guys like you putting damaged cars back on the road. Have a great long weekend 👍

Not only is Chris a humble genius I love how he is getting more involved his insight into what he is doing is brilliant 👍
Nice to see the long term projects are getting sorted. Ive said it before, you both make this channel mainstream television worthy. Keep up doing what we all love. 👊
At last back to what I subscribed to see, salvage getting fixed. The pug and now the A1 proper videos, great job!
I’m abit late for this but, Chris never fails to amaze me! The bloke is a Genius!!! Dream team Rob and Chris!!!!
Rob, you really do sell yourself short. Without your racing around the countryside chasing parts and repairs, researching availability and researching repairs Chris wouldn't get quite as much done. Hello Rob and Chris, the Audi A1 is looking good so far,the sealer you can't really see, brilliant job done by Chris.
Have a great weekend hope it’s a good one for you all
Blast from the past here - the old days of SRUK 😀
Brilliant work again Chris nice to see a craftsman do the job right

Experience is the best teacher with automotive.
I totally agree that Chris's system of working with nuts bolts parts etc is amazing. I personally would not have a clue where to start 🤔
What a great team these two guys make, really experienced car specialist's and work so well together, car is going to be a lovely ride for someone when finished guys, and love the background music as well!
Chris is very good but every business needs a good seller and Robs nailed it 💪
Lovely looking on the way to being tip top!
That workshop a heavenly place ,fine indeed.
Enjoy your long weekend.

great work lads, my week revolves around these videos so keep them coming and NEVER forget " the numbers"
Chris is great when speaking and explaining stuff need more stuff like that
Great to see the A1 going back together such a challenge for Chris to put it back together when it's been so long since it was stripped down.
Enjoyed your new music, sounds like you both have a plan for the way you are going to work in the future so good luck with that.
Nice to see Chris getting stuck in with the project, while birds are singing in the background, then you've got jammy Rob getting Free sealant.

"Brand new, second hand"... Chris and his attention to detail is a great asset.
Chris is a black belt in everything. Lol
Love the show, all the way from 🇮🇪 ❤
Lovely to see someone working this way, parts all laid out neatly, methodical approach to refitting.... top job!
Enjoy your long weekend fella's, you have both earned it.
It doesn’t surprise me that Chris has all the parts, nuts and bolts systematically laid out, it the way he works, truly a master tradesman! Fantastic video content and a pleasure to watch.
Great to see professionals at work……and you Rob! Truly inspirational. Thanks
Never get bored watching the rebuild, and the end result 👍👍👍
That was interesting seeing how the sealer is applied, and I liked the guitar music.
Look forward to the videos. Love watching you both. Two honest guys. Shame they weren't longer. 👍👍
Würth = “vur-earth” in German 👌👌. They are the OEM supplier to nearly all manufacturers. Definitely a proper job 👍👍

Hi Rob and Chris, Audi well on the road to recovery, glad you plan to work through some "long term" projects, will ben8ce to see them completed. Alex.
Great seeing the audi getting somewhere and ye keeping all the viewers informed on what the plans are in terms of projects.Cheers for the video and i hope ye both have a nice long weekend.😁👍
I love the back story you guys had to leave the country to talk business and make a plan on how to process the standing inventory - way to go guys.
So good to see this lovely little car getting the attention it deserves. Will make a really nice buy for someone. Rob, the new music tracks you're using are excellent. If you've got time, a credit for the artist in the links would be nice 👍
Amazing work guys. So much attention to detail
The little A1 has been a big job but coming along now. Amazed that you can remember where everything goes but sure your methodical approach helps.

Yes Rob buys in sow’s ears and Chris turns them into silk purse’s !
Always a pleasure to see you two at work. No drama or BS, just solid interesting content. Many thanks again for all your videos guys.
I love it when you say "brand new second hand"😂 Actually a brand new second hand can only be found on a watch or clock😇
Sounds like Del boys "genuine reproduction" lol.
