When you shift the selector lever thru the gears to check assembly shud the forks be moving inside or they dont move as they’re electronically moved by mechatronics magnets? I had fork A and C stuck during a failed fork relearn wasn’t sure if they were actually stuck nothings broken on them. I suddenly lost movement in drive after 2 hours in 5th n 6th gear highway driving just stalled the engine out wen I came to a stop. After about 4 attempts to select drive it didn’t stall but just revved won’t move. Wud broken plastics n worn out clutch discs cause that or most likely solenoids failed I also had codes D and E solenoid stuck off that may have caused the clutch to wear out trying to move in drive. I was gonna try a new valvebody and leave the mechatronics as a last resort to change while it’s bk in the car. I had no trans overheat message only limited function. Good video by the way helped me strip n inspect the transmission properly
The gear selection lever is changes the position of the sensor wheel on top the mechatronic unit, it doesn't move the gears. This is all done electrically with hydraulics. Most of the time the clutch needs taking apart as there will be wear to plastics and clutch discs.
Very good thank you. I’m not sure wat caused the forks to stick on the relearn attempt but cudnt find anything wrong mechanically inside the box. Iv cleaned it all n put it bk together with new plates n spring set, all I found was 1 spring plastic broke and a lot of metal paste stuck on the magnets. Got a replacement valve body new filters etc. see how it goes anyway hopefully it’s not a mechatronics issue
