    100% the AH and Autism isn't even a factor here. I'm Autistic and I don't save food for last, but I know if someone took my food or touched it without my ok I would have a huge Brake down. I'd not even be able to speak just rock back and forth while shaking. I am OCD about my food though. the girl sounded calm and acted grown up about it. Also I don't know anyone who wouldn't be upset if someone took their food without asking. Be the way who would eat after a baby just gross. 9/10

    there is no need to bring up the autism. anyone can choose to eat food in all different ways. all the mum had to do was wait. not fair on the little girl.

    Op is definitely an AH and also EXTREMELY ableist. I’m autistic myself and let me tell you, it’s NOT an Autistic thing to save certain foods for last cuz neurotypical people do that too. Plus also, hasn’t OP heard the phrase “assuming makes an a** out of you and me?” Yeah. This lady’s crazy

    She was definitely emphasizing them have an autism and honestly you don’t have to have any type of mental disorder or mental condition for you to save your food and honestly, you should always ask someone before taking their food. It’s just the most respectful thing to do.

    I would've told my child to kick the woman for that. Especially if it was her favorite or something like that. While some people may not approve of what I just said I need people to understand that taking an autistic persons food especially if it's their favorite or their comfort food is also like taking away a blind persons cane or service dog or a mute persons hands so they have no way to talk or a deaf persons hearing aids or something. I'm autistic as well and if someone took my food I would've went on a rampage

    Honestly, it's not about autism or whether to save a food for last. If someone leaves something in your care, you care for it how you would want someone to care for your things.
    Empathy is the ability to put yourself in someone else's position so imagine leaving food behind at a restaurant and having someone take it without asking.

    Yes the AH but I could see her not being ableist. It kinda seems like she thinks that the actions alone may be weird but is in the middle of learning that it's just a neurodivergent thing. Like she isn't trying to belittle them but is still clarifying those things to herself and so she does in conversation too. But yeah don't touch other people's food without permission.... I don't care if it's a kid that slobbers or the cleanest of adults. It's nasty and it's an invasion of my belongings and it's just no. I even have to tell this to my boyfriend who definitely doesn't get it.

    Op is a major AH I’m autistic myself and now I’m not going to act like what I’m about to describe is normal for all autistic people because I’m not sure but for me if I’m upset (like I’m sure Jenny was at finding her food stolen!) even if one of my siblings who are all older than me ate part of my food I’d be incredibly upset and HAVE had a meltdown about it (in large part to the fact that my sister ate part of my normal chicken sandwich and she ordered a spicy chicken sandwich (it was a new restaurant she thought it was hers) and I can’t handle spice and we had gone through the drive through that had a huge line, I couldn’t handle the thought of her spit being on my food and melted down, now imagine a baby who’s gonna gay WAAAAY more spit on the food, probably has grimy hands and isn’t related to her was the person who ate the food then to add insult to injury she was given back a tiny piece of what was left of what she was excited to have for later! OP got of easy not having to deal with a meltdown! I gotta say if someone did this to my me my mom would calm me down and tell me it’s not a huge deal (cuz she’d fix it) and then after that she’d rip that lady apart! (Not so much now cuz I’m an adult but that type of crap is ridiculous to be pulling especially on a kid!)

    • @JasperRoberts-jx6jj
      @JasperRoberts-jx6jj 3 месяца назад +1

      Also on a side note I know I’ve mentioned I personally think you do too high ratings just because for me personally it makes the higher ratings worth less (but that’s a me issue and I’m sorry if I hurt feelings with that comment, and for taking so long to apologize I was too embarrassed too then forgot to 😣) but in all honesty I completely agree with this rating I may be a little biased in thinking that but also I think the fact that she took food without asking which is so disrespectful adds points to the rating and especially on top of that the fact she took it from a kid (who isn’t her kid!) and disregarded her feelings add to it! Idk in my family we were raised the kids eat first cuz their stomachs are smaller so they need to eat more often and you always check before throwing away or giving away an unclaimed plate of food because it might be being saved for later.

    • @marian_hayes

      @@marian_hayes I know right! (I’m not diagnosed yet but I’m working on it) and I think I had a meltdown on vacation one time because we spent all day in an amusement park which was great but sensory overload, we went swimming so I was wet and uncomfortable and then my older sister and I ordered the same thing a chicken sandwich but she got hers spicy and I got mine not, and she was given mine when I said 3 times it was mine and she took a bite then I was given hers and it was bright orange and we swapped and a bite was taken out of mine so you know spit was left behind and……yeah I kinda freaked out and started yelling and crying and refusing to eat it but we left and I had to eat around the bite mark….I feel bad because I called my sister stupid for not listening to me and because the one she had was clearly just crispy chicken not spicy chicken…

    Autism comes in many flavors, i personally hqve autism too and context and permission on the smallest thing are BIG factors for me. This girl likely had some similar flavor of this type if autism. Then again anyone would be upset if you took food of their plate without asking first. And the constant "must be an autistic thing" comments are disgusting, she needs to get help for that. Or maybe get tested on some things herself.

    Op was TA. I would give op 8/10 because who even does that? It's up there but I won't go 9/10 because I save that for the worst of the worst. 10/10 is very rare. Yes stealing food is bad but there are worst things out there and don't get me wrong it's bad that's why it's above 6. Anything 6+ is bad. 9 and 10 are the absolute garbage and 1-5 is yeah you were wrong.

    • @ResinateByChanel

    3/10 ah, wrong for taking food! Absolutely ! Expecially without asking!
    However ...like it still was just one chicken nugget this is too trivial for me to gove her any higher rating
    I don't want to judge if she was judgmental or ill mannered twords them beeing autistic, becouse this might have been her talking to casually ? She haven't really said anything insulting , only thing she did is assume that "this was autistic thing" which like isn't really an insult 😅

      It is more about someone taking something that belonged to someone else as they did it without asking. Also taking advantage of a child, as I believe even the OP would not take food from another adult’s plate without asking, and give it to another adult who is still hungry. Boundaries, some people need to learn them.

    And listen I see that most ppl are super serious about the food thing. But it’s a chicken tender guys. Not that serious. Was it wrong yes. But it is worth all this drama no. Ask the waiter for another or some more. 3/10

    • @christinepyfrom6373
      @christinepyfrom6373 3 месяца назад

      I don’t like when others take my food without asking. Just like I wouldn’t like them taking post earrings I haven’t worn in a while. Yeah, I could get another, but why should I have to pay twice or pay for an extra? It is a 10/10 because it is such an obvious lack of decency, with the addition that it was done to a child who the OP easily took advantage of. I doubt OP, or anyone else, would take food from a plate of an adult and give it to another!!! If someone wouldn’t do that to an adult why they do so to a child? Because one assumes no one will have a problem with it when it’s the food of a child?
