Question? Is The Green ( or red) light triggered by 1. forward movement of the vehicle or 2. a “sensor” or something connected to the gas pedal or electronics within the car? Thank you for helping me understand this!!
The tree goes green after both cars are staged. There are sensors at the start line, next to the christmas tree, that communicate to the tree how far forward the car is. If the car goes past a certain point before the light is green then it will trigger the red light. These sensors are also how reaction time is measured. They also start the timer for the pass.
