- It's official! We're expecting!
This is my story. This is not to compare to others and their experiences because everyone is different. Every struggle, worry, fear is valid and I chose to vulnerably share this journey despite what society thinks I should and shouldn't do or say. Every moment is beautiful both good and bad, ups and downs. No matter what's in store for my future, I embrace this process, my emotions, and choose to feed my mind, soul, and body the right things to grow this human!
This is my first pregnancy and it took a lot of courage to tell my story to the world living in another country, away from close family and friends.
It's a lonely journey but an exciting one so I hope you'll come with me as I learn more about this mysterious world of motherhood and pregnancy as well as what it's like to go through these motions in another country.

Congrats!! I remember when I was TTC and just crying after every negative test. It’s such an emotional process and while I tried to live in the moment and enjoy the process it’s hard not to feel a sense of failure so those feeling so you were having are so valid and so relatable. I’m looking forward to seeing your journey, pregnancy can feel incredibly isolating especially when you add in being away from friends and family but sharing the journey can make it feel less isolating.
Right!? I say, cry it out, feel those emotions but get back up again. Being human is beautiful ☺️

Congratulations! I had my baby in Japan 6 months ago after trying to conceive for a year (although we had a miscarriage before that very early into the pregnancy).
So I know what you're going through living abroad and having your 1st baby. And my husband isn't even Japanese, so it was A LOT!
One thing I felt like i hadn't been prepared for is when you first get your baby home, they'll be just a lovely snuggly lump. By 6 months, our baby is laughing and trying to crawl and so full of personality and energy. It's almost like having a whole different baby! I read everything and yet I was still so surprised by how different she was from the newborn stage in the infant stage

Congratulations Kelly!!! I’ve been wondering how your journey was going lately since you first announced you wanted to start trying. My husband and I started trying this month and I’m totally getting in my head about it. I’m 36 and we’ve had a few uh oh moments in the past that never turned out, so the first part of your video really resonated with me. Using the affirmation “I trust my body” is helping too. Also can confirm how awesome NIshimatsuya is. Went there for the first time this summer with my sister-in-law and bought the CUTEST unicorn princess dress for my niece and a watermelon outfit for my cousin’s baby. So cheap! I can’t wait to keep following your journey!!

I've been watching and supporting you on patreon for so many years now and watching your life journey through the good and bad times and though you don't know me personally I have to say how proud of I am of you.
You are an amazing person who is kind and beautiful on the inside and out.
My pregnancy journey was also so hard and in so many ways beautiful but here's my story.
It took me 8 months to get pregnant with my first child and even though I suffered with morning sickness for 5 months and gastroenteritis she's the best, then 2 years later I fell pregnant with my second, a boy who sadly passed away and is my heaven child, that was the hardest but then a year I fell pregnant with my third child who is another boy and he is now a healthy 2 year old.
Pregnancy is definitely a hard journey for any woman who's been trying for so long, all my children were planned so the motions of not getting pregnant when you want to are horrible, but I was always positive during all of my pregnancies.
So congratulations to you both and good luck to your little family, well done hun.

Awww congratulations. My first we had to ivf then we used not protection after that thinking we couldn't have kids. My oldest was 11 months old when i found out pregnant with second. For my 3rd i tracked and we figured we will see what happens. Meanwhile i had frozen eggs and made an appointment to maybe use them. I got pregnant with him within 3 months. Those weeks before i had drank so much for me. Serval social events and then a week later oops.
