    Used one of the 6g ones last week set up the same way on my new ignition 10ft waggler rod and my new inertia 320 reel with 6lb float max.
    My casting with a float is now so much better and further, compared to my old traditional way

    Managed to get a handful of these floats this week, think I might put a drop of Monster glue in the stem to keep them secured to the base weight though (worried they'll detach is caught in overhanging grass/reeds etc and I can't really afford to be losing many)

    It would be nice to see a tutorial on how to fish the pellet waggler for F1's and not proper carp with their big mouths. Fishing with 8mm hard pellets does away with the need to balance the fall of the line and bait when using 4mm hard pellets on the banded hook. The variation in the size of F1's mouths is staggering, some have really tiny mouths which seem to have more Carusian in them than common carp even when they weigh 2 or 3 pounds. I find the feeding patterns are totally different as well with the F1's acting like piranhas when they go into a frenzy taking the bait at warp speed leaving no misinterpretation of the bite!

    Why would you use a stronger hooklength than your 4lb mainline

    • @UKprestoninnovations
      @UKprestoninnovations  11 месяцев назад

      The mainline has lots of stretch, where as the hooklength doesn't. This means the mainline remains stronger

      OK thanks for the information but just seemed a bit extreme for example size 18 and 16 are tied to 0.17 reflo power which is 6lb 12oz
