Cant use the back brake if your feet are on the ground...
+wobbly sauce +Piton Slap I think he meant use the back brake more, not only the back brake. Using only the back brake might result in some accidents. To prevent all the weight being transferred to the front, I think RJ meant you should use the back brake in conjunction with the front brake, and brake more calmly.
Disclaimer: Not an experienced rider.
+Sushrith Arkal low speed mobility, basically use some rear and use some throttle, using engine gyroscope movement keeping it upright.

I really cringed watching that guy filtering in front of RJ! Poor control, awareness and road etiquette. I hope he sees the video and is not too proud to consider doing some additional training. No one is perfect but in that short piece he's clipping a wing mirror, jerking the bike, riding with both feel dangling down off the rear sets and totally unaware, until the end, that he was slowing down a more proficient rider. Just my opinion before anyone starts, you're welcome to add your own.
I am not a biker but i really want to become one. How can you practice without looking as the guy you are talking about? I feel like i am going to make the same mistakes because of inexperience. Just thinking about filtering, using your knee and all while taking turns makes me really nervous. It just looks impossible to practice without wrecking the bike and breaking your neck.
+Ilias Joels it's definitely a daunting activity when inexperienced, but just ensure you go to a highly recommended training school and get taught correctly. Fundamentally everything that you will need to know will be taught there, however it's not a must to do it. Key is to stay in control of your bike, good anticipation and only ride within your skill level. Please note although I'm confident in filtering, I am by no means an expert.
I bet he was in my country once cuz you see the stikcer "Lao"(a sticker that every car have to put),and that's how laotian people drive,he's probally not laotian..but just saying haha
+Jay C Never know, he may have had a bad accident filtering before. People's confidence can affect the way they ride. I wouldn't judge too much.
+Lewis Jordan I'm entitled to judge the clip I've seen, he was all over the place. If he's had an accident even more reason to boost his confidence or correct his errors whichever the case may have been
I noticed that one guy with the big bike was having a lot of troubles because of his use of the front brake. When I fist got my Honda Shadow I had the same problem. Almost dumped it one time infant of a bunch of buddies because I had poor brake control. Time, experience and training fixed that problem for the most part.

If you can't filter safely don't filter. If you want to filter "please" practice tight turns and staying parallel to kerbs in empty car parks to start with and not with moving boxes made of metal that way a ton or so and will kill you if you get it wrong!! Nice video. Ride Safe and keep it shiny side up.

I had the MT07 on order, paid a deposit, then they keep saying next week, another week etc. etc. so I bought a XJ6N (which was stolen from Wandsworth Common!) - the MT07 looks tiny.
*that jag can't take on a bmw s1000Rs with RJ on the seat lol

+Firecul42 the bmw isn't, really hard to drive because of it's quickshifter, the trick would be to shift on the right moment and keep that front wheel down. Ps, +1 sub for you lol
Jens Himpe Don't worry about subbing, not going to be posting much bike stuff for a while. I have one video in the works but it has been for a very long time so far.
I do want to test ride a S1000 (of one variety or another) if I get the chance in the summer.

I commented below about filtering. The comment wasn't meant as an insult (not even to the guy filtering, i'm not too hot at it but i do practice). If i caused any offence then i apologise unreservedly.The comment was meant as a heads up for any biker wanting to filter. Practice before you do it on the road for real. There's always somewhere like an industrial estate on a Sunday or a shopping car park after six pm. Use the curbs, corners, poles and tree's as cars or anything you can find. Again sorry if anyone was offended. Ride Safe to all you bikers out there. Ps PASS YOUR TEST THEN SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE LEARNING TO RIDE (DRIVE) NOBODY KNOWS IT ALL!!!!

+fintan donnelly not sure what they were smoking but nah, it's amazing. sure if you nitpick you'll find flaws (but then you'll find flaws in every bike, that way). for what you pay for, you get an amazing bike. I'm happy I got one.

I don't get the both feet down thing, unless walking the bike between mirrors, losing the rear brake feels more scary than not having a foot down!

RJ, I know you can't really teach filtering but you should think about perhaps teaching people slow speed control/manoeuvres.

I suppose you can find it at any diy, but maybe some sort of flap is more useful. When you stop, it is easily removed... ;-)

My header and exhaust are sitting in boxes. This makes me want to get them installed.
A header is the down pipe coming off the engine running back to the exhaust silencer or can. Arrow sells them that eliminate the catalytic converter.
