Hoserama’s Notes
Show Notes:
Third show in a row for Struts, but you wouldn't know it from the show itself. Usual high energy show from the Struts, nice show if you're a fan.
Recording Notes:
I was hurting from a flu bug during the show. Outman77 stepped up and took my ticket to roll a handful of feeds for the show. I still ran backup from the parking lot, but used Outman77 cleaner feeds from inside. Good example of teamwork coverage! Struts use click track and counts. I was able to remove most of it, but you might hear some remnants leftover.

As always, encouraging people to get into taping and mixing. Just take the craft seriously and it will reward you many times over. There's no point in complaining about missing recordings or subpar quality if you're not contributing--pushing 1's and 0's around on the internet is no comparison for taping.
--
IEM recordings are not for everyone. If not they're not your thing, either sonically or ethically, well at least you didn't spend any money on this.
Similarly, I'm mixing primarily for my ears. This is what sounds best to me. This may not sound best to you. That's a fair statement. I'm open to honest criticism although you should have caught me when I was working on the mix!, but pointless complaining is unappreciated naturally.Let's play nice.

Please don't sell this recording in any way - no cash for blanks, 2:1s, or any other form of "getting paid for your time". Just share it freely.
Please don't convert to mp3, then back to wave, and then trade it around. This stuff is too easy to find on torrents now.
Feel free to remaster/remix this recording. Just keep it to your own computer and iPod.
Also, please don't torrent or share on other sites without at least dropping me a line and asking. I may want to just torrent/share it there myself. Especially sites like Guitars101, which is known for deleting sections of the info file such as this paragraph.
Please ask and wait for permission! before putting it into any matrix + video production. If you ask nicely for a quality high-res video project, I will likely say “yes”. If you put it on RUclips or cell phone video production without asking, I will send my cats from hell to chew your computer cables.

Boys and girls, that there is what we used to call a Rock Band. So there is hope after all! Brilliant!
I heard this as spoken by Lemmy. Brilliant.
This is the first time I've seen and heard the Struts other than their song Pretty Vicious and I must say they just got another fan. They are good! And I like how positive their outlook is, a lot of positive energy. Now I'll have to go to see one of their concerts.
An awesome band. They've been around for nearly thirteen years and are well overdue deserved success
They are so good. I can't think of a more underrated band.
I'm far from a dedicated fan to this band, but I absolutely appreciate the larger than life stage presence they carry regardless of crowd size. I saw them open up before a less than excited crowd at a Foo Fighters concert, and Luke still jumped around and interacted with the crowd like they were Queen at Live Aid. To be fair, at that point I believe The Struts only had their debut album out and did not play on a ton of rock radio in the south beyond alternative stations.
If you haven't seen these guys live, DO IT! Good time, good music, good crowd, good energy.
Gonna see them open for QOTSA on April 8 and 9th. I usually don't care much for the openers but Josh always brings someone interesting.
Obviously the audio has some post recording production and mixing. Many classic live albums were done this way. Allmans live aat the Filmore East and Frampton Comes Alive come to mind. But it doesnt matter how good a sound engineer is, you cant make something from nothing. What you are watching is a tight ass Rock and Roll Band with lights out talent and frontman who has a voice, range, and chops that puts him in the room with a select few "icons". Add to that they have song after song of pure gold. People are rediscovering an ignored genre of music and these guys are giving folks what this music was supposed to be. A deversion...a break if you will from the stress and anxiety of their lives to just enjoy a phenominal show. The world needs more of this.
Post production and mixing yes...but no overdubs or anything that wasn't going live.
I didn't mean to suggest there was anything added to sound that wasn't done live. I noticed the comments that made me think people were questioning if there was something blended or tracking added to the shows recording. I listened to it several times. What you hear is what they played. In fact its even more incredible that their a stripped-down three piece with a singer (who can f'n wail). I just discovered this band like two weeks ago and am shocked they have been around as long as they have. I've been on the stages with the bands they have and somehow been off my radar. I keep seeing comments on their internet posting saying similar things. Im wondering why this is? Who has been promoting them?
I just hope they get their due. Headline tours. Stadium. Damn, Halftime at the Super Bowl....they really are that good!!
@@billyaultman8588 Fair enough! Good band for sure. They do have some occasional pre-recorded track, most noticeable is the pre-rec horns on Kiss This.
They are legit
@@senecastj good ear. I missed it.
Amazing concert love these guys put them in an arena already for fuck Sake love bud
Going to see them for the second time on the 17th!!!!
I really just discovered this band. I mostly listen to 90’s alternative. I recently started listening to alt nation and heard them. So good. Luke sounds so much like Freddie mercury it’s weird. Queen was my first big concert I saw as a teen.
Have seen the band goin back almost 10 years. When you listen to what is out there these boys are on the top of the list. I hope they continue to rock because what they provide their fans is very special. It is the essence of rock and entertainment. Remember the name “THE STRUTS”
I thought this was a Queen concert!! It came right on my screen no words above just Queen and Freddie singing, OMG!!!
Cant wait for Tuesday night, this will ROCK !!!!
These guys tour non-stop and give 100% at every single show despite having been on the road for months on end. Rock and roll at its finest.
My heart sweet honey 🍯 💓 love, lovely everything about rock roll, rock band music 🎶 struts
I saw them in concert in Royal Oak Michigan about a week and a half ago and they were AMAZING. Just an awesome performance in a small venue. Absolutely a great time and their opener - Barns Courtney - was amazing, too.
I was at the show. I've seen them four times and this was my favorite.
Great band,, always dig their sound 🤩
Daaaaaaaammmmnnnn.... why aren't they playing stadiums?
I absolutely cannot wait to catch these guys opening up for queens of the stone age in a couple months.
been a fan for a couple years now and to be able to catch them alongside another band I'm into is gonna be wicked
Beautious! Sending love and gratitude for this!
Merry Christmas! ♥️🎄♥️
THANK YOU!!
This is super cool. I really dig the sound!!! Thanks 👍
Cool !
latest band reviving melodic rock
Is this man a cross between Freddie Mercury and Mick jagger or what? ❤😮
With a bit of Liza Minnelli thrown in.
@@clarkbuckner4900 Or the love child of Liza Minnelli and Franknfurter :D
wow, you all rock!
The modern Stones. Definitely. Wow. 🎉👍🏻😎
thank you Bigdigs👍🎸🎶
Thanks a lot for this!!
I was hoping they were opening with the fast version of We Will Rock You after that intro of the original. I’d love to hear them do the fast version. That would be killer!
I saw these guys when they opened for Guns n Roses about 5 years ago. I thought they were gonna break and be headlining arena's instead of clubs by now. They're just as good, if not better than Greta Van Fleet
Shoulda got the Freddie job over Adam whatsisname
What an extraordinary audio. What kind of Smartphone have you recorded this show ??
Video was iPhone 14 I believe. Audio was recorded and mixed seperately...
how do you pull something like this off? i may have to try it
Hello! How can I download the files ? Thank you 😊
Their albums sound so tame and sanitized in comparison with this performace. They need a producer who will capturs this energy on the next release. Better still, they should release a live album.
They could do with a second guitarist!
What TF? They rarely show the drummer, that's fucked up, he's cool

I love the Struts, and Luke's singing. I dislike hearing the crowd sing. Luke, please leave the singing to the band.
Love these guys, but intro music by Queen.....c'mon.
Awesome but not nothings hooking me. The whole show kind of just felt the same.
