No, Dimash did not win, he was second. I think only because he was the first foreigner and the youngest ever to have been invited to compete. It was a show, by invitation, for professional and established Chinese singers. They were 12-39 yrs. his senior. Some of them said that it was stressful to sing after Dimash performed. Also from this show, I hope you listen to Dimash sing "All By Myself", and Unforgettable Day...he wrote this one when he was 19 yrs. old. It’s obvious here Adagio is a person. Besides meaning slow in music it is the name of a male person as the o on the end means male. If it ended in an a it would be female. Lara fabian wrote the song with about 3 other males. She also recorded it. Because the song doesn’t identify the relationship of the singer to Adagio it could be anybody close.

No, Dimash did not win, he was second. I think only because he was the first foreigner and the youngest ever to have been invited to compete. It was a show, by invitation, for professional and established Chinese singers. They were 12-39 yrs. his senior. Some of them said that it was stressful to sing after Dimash performed. It’s obvious here Adagio is a person. Besides meaning slow in music it is the name of a male person as the o on the end means male. If it ended in an a it would be female. Lara fabian wrote the song with about 3 other males. She also recorded it. Because the song doesn’t identify the relationship of the singer to Adagio it could be anybody close.
Dimash competed in Singer 2017 and Hua Chenyu competed in Singer 2018. They both placed 2nd in their respective year, in the overall competition. Hua Chenyu competed again in Singer 2020 and won the entire competition, with the most 1st place songs than anyone. "Adagio" is indeed a musical term for "slowly". However in these lyrics - which were written by Lara Fabian more than two centuries after Albinoni composed the music - "Adagio" refers to (and is used as) the first name of the lover she longs to be reunited with.
