I have been several times at the same spot, you never forget the sound of 2x55's pulling a heavy train on this 1:43 (23 promille) gradient, I even have seen a train stalling a bit further up at Honvolez (this point is Cierreux), so sometimes a class 62 (smaller version of this 55) banker was added.
Excellent video 5*! I love the sound of the SNCB class 55 (and CFL 1800). I'm still hoping that a model railroad manufacturer will build these 2 axle coal cars (type fbl). BTW. Was the nightshot taken at Cierreux? It looks like the same spot where I filmed a TAC (Train Auto-couchettes) in 1999.
Now thats what i still call a diesel, together with the 5100 serieus, the best sound there is and WAS... miss them ever since !
C était le bon temps. .

The nichtshooting was taken by Salmchateau. I hope that CFL 1800/SNCB 5500 and the 2axle coal cars will come in gauge1.
