Until recently! She got all tangles up in the most recent drama and La Toya avoided it
Just proves that Michael and Martha made the song. Martha did all the vocal adlibs at the end in the original. I wonder how hard it was for her to thin her tone down to mimic rebbie.
+Stu228 - I don't know how you can come away saying that when Rebbie clearly nails most of the notes from the original song here in this performance. 4:33 to 5:10 sounds really good to me.
1980Triumph Martha is listed as having sang on the track and has admitted to it.
Stu228 - Everyone knows she sang on the track but she never claimed to have sung the ad-libs in fact when questioned she said that she only sang the chorus. This was never a question until the House/Club music scandals and then people just ASSUMED it was Martha singing the ad-libs at the end.
Stu228, you are ABSOLUTELY right! It IS Martha Wash singing the ad-libs at the end. Great ear!!!
Was this in February or September of 1998?
Notice how she's struggling to hit those high belting notes at the end. That's because it never was her vocals to begin with. All the high belting notes on this track were done by Martha Walsh and Rebbie lip-synced those parts. As far as the Jackson girls, Janet's vocals surpasses all the girls.
How about no. She isn't struggling to sing and she actually hits some impressive notes. Martha was quoted as saying she only sang the chorus and NOT the adlibs at the end of the song. Every since the whole C&C and Blackbox thing everything thinks Centipede gave Martha the same treatment and that was NEVER stated by anyone outside the fan community.
Yes!!! It IS Martha Wash belting it out for her at the end...
O no I think not I love Janet Jackson but I don't think she can sing at all but she is Beautiful and Sexy and have great showmanship 😊
No. They all have light voices. I admit that I had to really listen as I believe they were masterful at making it sound like it was Rebbie. Both Martha and Rebbie's vibratos are fast. Rebbie also sung on the chorus and belted out some of the chorus, so there was no reason to draw a conclusion to whether or not she sang that list bridge section. It just sounded like she was saving the big notes for the last time through that chorus. I also think they mixed it in such a way that it sounded like Martha but not as big, full, and rich as her voice usually is.
Struggling!?? HATIN ASSES 🧢
