I read Perks of being a wallflower my freshman year of high school and still remember to this day really enjoying it. It was sad but it also felt like the main character finds himself in the end along with his friends. Very coming of age story and was surprised to hear its on the book ban in schools now.

I’m glad you had a nice experience it with it! It’s sad many influential books are getting banned today but hopefully the bans will be dropped soon
