It's not that people aren't interested in voting. We just aren't interested voting for more of the same. Every politician says they are for the people but are really only for self.
Ur not wrong, but this apathy is the exact thing that allows those who remain motivated to end up getting what they want (e.g. end Roe v Wade, police immunity, etc). Most of the people I know who have never voted make this excuse, and they’re the exact reason every politician can continue to be only out for themselves. Ur vote could hold them accountable.

Knowing the red vote doesnt matter the democratic primary basically chose the mayor. Primaries should be open to everybody as we all arent monolithic esp here in nyc. If we arent getting rank choice at least us independents can vote for both primaries.
