Oh, I get why Rocky Roll was included with the fight against the Candy Warriors. It's because his name comes from rocky road, another type of sweet treat
Since it came out, the biggest flaw with trap team was the amount it required you to spend to 100% the game. It can be argued that it was one of the main reasons for the decline of the franchise, asking way too much of its young playerbase. This was the game that not only required a trap master for each element, but also introduced two new elements, plus all of the traps, along with cores, level packs, and minis that kids would also want. Activision got greedy and the franchise never fully recovered
The lore is always pretty interesting. There are some glitches people use to bypass the some of the elemntal gates using various methods, but definitely agreed that the gates should have worked differently. Thank you for the great video. Hope you have a great day or night.
as with the usual recent videos, I like to share one of my own made Skylanders to match the theme (Neon, you did this by highlighting my original comment) and in my comment of the Neon-self made Skylanders video I brought up Skylanders pairings, and how their kids became Skylanders themselves and one of those, is the daughter of Nightfall and Krypt King her story, is that due to her parents being dark, undead and generally creepy for Skylanders (in-universe) their daughter was raised by Nightfall in the darkest depths of the oceans, where light was absent, causing her to become of the Dark element but things changed when Nightfall had to leave for a mission, but she didn't come back soon enough, causing her daughter to leave the ocean depths, and fight evil like her parents however due to her lack of experience, her methods where kinda... brutal + some Mabu fishermen saw he leave the ocean depths, causing her to gain the name Depth Queen it was only when she rescued her parents, they noticed that they made a mistake and that she should have grown up around other Skylanders but seeing how strong she is, but lacking in control, they did have her join Skylanders Academy to learn self-control
Let’s hope when trap team get its 10th anniversary they will finally announce a new game at the end of giants 10th anniversary video 2022 master eon said “the skylands are safe for now but i have a feeling new adventures are right around the corner” one of the devs said yeah 2 years from now right around the corner
I actually played every game in the Skylanders series, though I missed out on Trap Team until a couple years after Imaginators released, and my experince was... poor, since every game respects you for collecting a large quantity of Skylanders, even core ones, with only small extra issues for completion, like needing one of each vehicle type in Superchargers, or one of each swap power in Swap Force... but when I played Trap Team, I could barely do anything. I bought the game pre-owned, but it was only the game. I figured that'd be fine, since I had 50+ Skylanders from the 3 prior games, but that meant I would not have a Trap Master, or any traps. Sure, getting around the levels was managable, and I found it... relatively fun, but I was shattered when I learnt that, even the elemental gates could only be opened by Trap Masters... so Trap Team completely rendered a collection of more than, like, 5 Skylanders useless if it didn't include different element Trap Masters... not like you'd usually need more than a handful Skylanders each level... combat ain't that difficult... Anyway, I wound up defeating Dreamcatcher, then dropped the game, 'cause it had no way to reward long-time fans. Haven't played it since...
OMG Gearshift was one of my favorite Trap Masters from the game! Her Fragment Mode attack combined with the Fragment Mode Freak Upgrade path made her seriously OP! Plus, idk why but I really love her design, I don't know how to explain it but for me it's simple but not boring. Like, it's not the most eye-catching design at first but the more you see her, the more small details you notice which makes you appreciate her more. Or maybe that's just me. Oh, and as for the elemental gates in Trap Team, yeah that was a universally hated change in the game. It was pretty much the first major sign that Activision's greed was polluting the franchise.
Changing the elemental gates to traptanium elemental gates was done last second, along whit changing Kaos’ element from magic to his own. I think they didn’t add a different mechanic to the trap masters because they were designing the game with normal elemental gates in mind and didn’t have the time to add said mechanic due to the short development time.
If you don't feel like shilling out 400+ bucks for every trap master Skylander, you can get programable cards that function like the chips all Skylanders have. it costs less overall, works with every game (provided the given Skylander is in that game) and you get to learn how to do something new!
trap team was my first game and naturally snapshot was my first skylander still have him to this day tho i was always confused on wether him wallop or even wildfire was the trapmaster leader when i was young XD
The prima guide books have the character bios. Except for the prima giants guide book for some reason. Prima didn't do a guide book for superchargers for some reason. Odd.
@paulwilliams5949 having the element of the trap master dictate the enemies they can catch would be cool. It does leave kaos out though, how would he be trapped
It's like if they had had jumping back in the first game, kept it for giants and swap force and then trap team removed it. Sure the game would probably be designed so that you wouldn't need to jump, but it would just feel awkward if a feature you'd always had was just gone suddenly.
@user-hk8sd5pz8o I feel this was part of the issue though. The gates never felt substantial enough in this game to warrent having at least 10 new figures to access them all

I like the idea that all the trap masters were walking in slowly and badass-like
And then there’s just rocky roll being a goofball.
I really liked the discussion of snapshots real world origins and disign background. Id love for that kind of discussion to be a more common thing

Tuff Luck was my favourite trap master. She was fun to play.
I do agree about your view on the Trap Team elemental gates, it's complete bullshit.
For real, and for most of them to suck too it’s absurd
They actually put the backstories for trap team, on trading cards.
Which is cool ig

i know why Tuff Luck doesn't fit in with the other skylanders.
someone just put their fursona in the game sorry not sorry
How is she different than all of the other anthropomorphic animals?
@@gerald2508none of them are like furries and the other feline skylander before is on all fours
@@staringcorgi6475I meant how is she different than any of the anthropomorphic animals like Cali.
@@gerald2508 Cali is npc so it’s different and also doesn’t look human scaled unlike tuff luck
Gear shift is another one of my favorite sky landers.
Also I think I know why you don’t like bushwhack: His toes! They are nasty tbh
Yeah… The Trap Team gates are a huge flaw…
Your videos are awesome
Next can you do a vid about the not skylanders? Like Flynn, buzz, and mags?

Snap shot was going to be in giants
I think all the new skylanders in trap team are part of the trap team while guys with special weapons are trap masters

do a video of the grim reapers of skylands ( grim creeper and hood sicle to start )
Please do Fiesta next!!!!
Snapshot was a rejected skylander from giants as he was the original water core before chill replaced him in development
tough luck do look like a predator, i like that

Nice. That all I got to said😌
Yes, more lore!
Snap Shot hunts chompies for sport?
Snap Shot learns archery with the elves? & learned hunting skills with the wolves?
Dark Traptanium?
The Fortuna Springs is the source of luck for all of Skylands?
Sponge Tankers?
The Tech Island of Metallania?

Yeah let's hope snap shot dosent gat cancer or else were all screwed. Tbh, I love spider-man 2
Swappers when?
No one likes the trap team elemental gates, and i love the game.
3:28 wouldn't killer croc be a better fit for the analogy?
One question i will always ask is why trap master can't trap villains in there weapons
Because then Activision wouldn't be able to sell traps separately
@@Alyxandrite005 then they shouldn't call them trap masters
@@Alyxandrite005 personally i think trap masters should be able to trap enemies for their element as well as trap crystal as a cheap alternative

You need to play the other games man
Honestly trapteam is my least favourite skylander game because its a bit bland is is not very visual pleasing compared to swapforce
I think the opposite

According to an adult swim animation Tuff Luck is trans
Yea that’s not cannon tho
It’s just making fun of the weird anime phenomenon called traps
