This needs to be more widely shared ... just amazing what can be accomplished in relatively primitive conditions. I collected Andean textiles in 1967-9 and again in 1977-8 when I lived in Colombia and Bolivia and traveled in Peru ... Time and again when I look at Western attempts to learn and replicate the amazing finesse of the women and men of the Andes I am amazed at how crude their efforts look compared to the amazing artisenia of the Andean people. I am so grateful CTTC and others are working to protect the heritage of Andean cultures and ensure their amazing skills are passed on to new generations.
