Raad, another great video...Well done and thank you for your weekly updates. Yes, Costco would be amazing and needed in NB and surrounding areas. Great update on Solm's landing as well. That area has a lot to offer and I am sure it will be a town favorite once it get underway and it up and running. Would love to see some big town health clubs like Lifetime head our way as well.
@@raadalawanrealtor That is a good question. I would think they would look at the area demographics and household income and competition from similar health clubs. In my opinion, NB would be a prime location for Lifetime with the amount of growth and lack of anything that resembles such a health club (lifestyle) in/or around NB. With the amount of growth that NB is seeing, I would think the draw population would be at least 300K +.
Graduated from Texas State 3 years ago and moved to NB after 2 years in Kyle, Tx. My wife and I love it here and plan on putting roots down. There is so much to do and the city does a great job of managing the growth. So glad we landed where we did, and really happy to see these future plans to make a great place even better🤙🏼
I think they need to work on a parking garage near downtown that is within walking distance to all the restaurants, farmers market, etc. Trying to find on street parking is ridiculous many evenings. Also, what is the scoop on the Whole Foods that was supposed to open?
When will costco be built? Yes, trader joes, sprouts, whole foods, aldi, and a macys please! Plus, what are they building at Creekside next to texas trust bank?
we need less too many homes ...too much traffic......live here all my life. but I staying and hoply they will not build anymore homes all our farm land is gone .It all about money so sad
@@kennethbode2017 if there’s a big enough outcry over paid parking IF it’s implemented , then likely it will be taken away. Keep in mind only 50% of our free parking is being utilized.
You can ask for the sky. But the metrics have to make sense for these companies. I believe Trader Joe’s population threshold is 250,000 people within a three mile radius
We had a Trader Joe's in Carson City Nevada and the population was less than New Braunfels and the population was under 100k Also chico, ca population 102 k and had a trader joes in both of those areas
@@raadalawanrealtor neighboring cities were under 50,000 the nearest big city was Sacramento and that was 2 hours away for the chico one and then for the Carson City one the nearest big city was a half hour away which was Reno Nevada and now here in New Braunfels there is definitely higher population all around here much more than those other areas that I've lived that have had Trader Joe's so it definitely does not have to do with population
The Creekside developer has eluded to an organic market coming. But "coming" doesn't mean much until all agreements between city and business have been hashed out. Commercial in general is moving a lot slower in that area
Would also love an ALDIs, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods
Trader Joe’s is the most requested on this channel

Lifetime Fitness wonder what their threshold is for population

Whoa... honestly, that paid parking would make me avoid that area.

So excited for the skating rink in Mayfair been wanting one in new braunfels since I moved here 10+ years ago
Trader Joes sure but also Winco! They have great prices, are employee owned and offer a huge variety including bulk foods.
Winco. Never heard of it. It's a wholesale store?
@@raadalawanrealtor no its a value grocery store. Incredibly low prices. Its from Idaho. few in dallas. if you pay 100 at HEB it would be 80 at Winco.
@@gwarner565 probably not happening at Creekside. If they’re value store they won’t be able to afford Creekside lease

Parking garage downtown was discussed 2+ years ago but not supported

when it's built. Is Macy's still opening stores? Last I checked, they were scaling down. I'll check that one out next to the bank.

farmers are selling their land
This isn't a fun suggestion, but I wish New Braunfels had a children's hospital. North Central Baptist is a far trek.
That’s reasonable given the number of families with kids under 18 moving to NB outpaces Austin and San Antonio
Paid parking on public streets is a no win with locals and downtown businesses. the cost to enforce and administer doesn't justify the need.
Parking meters.
