Omg when you said "have you ever seen a happier dog?" while Sadie was running, I was literally at that second thinking "what a damn amazing life Sadie gets to have!"
You demonstrated the two reasons I find boondocking a challenge. One: spending a lot of time scouting and two, rough road on the rig. And then you go demonstrating all the wonderful reasons we continue to boondock! Love flagstaff.
Thanks so much for another great video. Your taking me places I’ll never get to and it’s appreciated big time. Your a good person and have enjoyed your contents for years
Carolyn, your spot was GORGEOUS and the nighttime photography is AMAZING!!! I've watched you for a couple of years now and I can say without a doubt that your soul looks so very happy. You are glowing. Safe travels. ~Kim
I've struggled with the same issue in Flagstaff National Forest 😅! It can be tricky, but as you have taught us all, if you keep searching, you will usually find a peaceful spot to unwind. 🌲🚐 Carolyn, I've really enjoyed following your journey through Flagstaff and the Coconino National Forest. 🌲 I hope VIOFO lets you keep the camera! The new views and perspectives were awesome. I've been watching your videos since I was 19 (I'm 27 now), and your adventures during RV life have been truly inspiring! 🚐💖
Beautiful country ❤❤. Tofu tip from a South Korean doctor: save the liquid from tofu - freeze it if you can. Room temperature tofu liquid is an effective treatment for frostbite. Soak a small washcloth in some tofu liquid and place it on the damaged skin. Repeat when the liquid reaches skin temperature. Works for sunburn too.
That was an awesome place to camp and Sadie is so cute zooming around... oh no about the RV transmission ... I hope your ok and there's help. Hang in there and stay safe. Take care!
Thank you for the walk through the beautiful forest. I kept thinking a bear might be out meandering too. Wish we had the warm sun up north but nice seeing it here💗
Hi Carolyn, i watch you all the time and have for a long time. You are amazing, so brave. I wish i was more like you. Im to anxious. Shitty childhood that continued into my adult life. Envy you so much.
Love nutritional yeast..l use it all the time..l am a vegan too and l love the food l eat..still buy dogs meat..one thing l have learnt over the years..do not brag about eating habits..Sadie is the best.. Take care you two
I love to hear the elk bugle! I really like Estes Park, Colorado. My parents went out there several times a year after they retired. After my dad passed away we took Mom out quite a few times and in the evenings we would drive out to where there was a meadow where the elk gathered and could hear them bugling. The night sky where you camped was beautiful with so many stars!
I kind of fell away from watching your stuff. I dunno. I like travels in arid lands I suppose. Anyway, this comes into my feed somehow.. It's a bit of a masterpiece. At least that's my take.
Thank you. This is similar to all my travel videos over the last year. I've upped my videography game and my camera equipment. You might want to go check some of them out if you're looking for something to watch. I appreciate your kindness.
@@CarolynsRVLife I'll definitely check out a couple. My beat used to be Great Basin, Mojave and Sonoran deserts, and Colorado plateau. So if you're in with those I'm back in with your channel.
You're almost here, my home of Flagstaff ❤ As I had to get rid of my van due to no funds for repairs any longer😢 after 62 years of never being vehicle less I'm enjoying your highway travel to here❤❤❤
Since it was high of 38F in Flagstaff this morning I reckon this video is not current. I know you always have a lag time in publishing. I've been a viewer since the days of Capone, he was a happy sweet boy. I know you still carry him in your heart, Sadie is a cutie and a sweetheart. I still carry my sweet girls Zoie and Terra in my heart, I raised those girls from pups, they were my besties. They passed in 2021 at the age of 16 years old. I still have one dog left, Tango, he's 15 years old. He got along ok with the girls but I didn't think he would get along with a new younger dog and honestly I don't know if I have the heart to get another dog once he passes.
Wow nice vid Carolyn, that's my type of land up where you were by flag can't believe that trash someone left way the hell out there, that's the ones that ruin it for everyone, they should stay home and trash their own house! Dam! As usual you found a nice camp quiet ld def put that in the book for a return trip . I hope your transmission isn't going to hurt you to bad don't get cooked in vegas❤😊
I loved the place u camped..beautiful with the natural.pasture for the elk.. First time i heard an elk buggle it was right outside my tent north of yellowstone...i freaked out ..lol. 😅
Boy oh boy. For a while during your hike/walk? I thought “Ohmygosh looking all around, taking shortcuts? You may have gotten spun around, and made a wrong turn”? Nah, you spotted your footprints (thank God!)”. Ohhh nooo! Transmission? Yikes!
We had a flagstaff fifth wheel it was parked on a site in a marsh area lol oh boy the beach was a walk away but when looking over the water/lake Erie there was a power plant sucks. Expensive too for the season . If we could have found a better place on the water no view of power plant I would have keep our 5th wheel. Queen bedroom armoire shower bath never used lol nice kitchen tv air conditioner dining area nice chairs /called glamping. Also we had no pick up to move it/fifth wheel . SOLD IT Have brick ranch HOME now above ground pool it’s PORTA BACK YARDA NOW LOL
National forests have "travel management" plans. They have dramatically cut back on allowable roads, which is why you found that sign. Yes, it's a good road with camping spots, but they are trying to cut down on people ruining the forest so they aren't letting people drive on them anymore. I have lived near Kaibab National forest since the 70s and we are unable to drive on most of the forest roads now. It sucks. Coconino forest, where you were, is the same. Many people ignore the signs and drive on them anyway. 🤷🏼♀️
I love the pictures of the stars!! Beautiful!! Sadie looks like she is in heaven!! Happy Pup!! I hope you can get your camper running right!! Happy Camping and Safe Travels!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🐶🐶🐾🐾
😂Girl you way back in there with Big Foot - the very psychic powered one! I camped there a year ago for 3 months, after camping in Sedona! The rain in that forest on tents is amazing and great sleep! Most people camp near the main road to get to their jobs and to that truck stop...!🎉
Awesome night videos! Love the elf…elk noises! lol. Love Sadie’s safety jacket!! 💜🐾 oh my gosh sure hoping this doesn’t mean a new to you rebuilt transmission!! 🤞🤞
Strange sounds: Puma? Their screeching can make the hair stand up on your whole body. But I think if it were a big cat, your pup would have had her hackles up. She was rather calm, but way alert.
Carolyn, OMG, the RUclips took you away from me. I hadn't heard a peep in months/or years?. Maybe because I was rabbitt-holeing(sp?) with some true crime channels, only cause I like the mystery and suspense of it all, and they tend to have more podcast type videos that I can listen to at work. But trust me, I watch so many different channel genres, like: crime, politics and current events, boonddocking, gardening, farming and homestead, homelessness in the US, herbs and herbal treatments, anything horse related, animal rescue, medical care related, DIY anything, old house restoration, Art, crafts, sewing, abandoned house walkthrough, ghosts and paranormal, Aliens, Bigfoot, car care stuff, etc...the Sky is the limit with my viewing habits. But suddenly, here you are in my suggested feed, straight up out of the blue. I then realized that I had been unsubscribed😢, so I resubbed. I love yours and Sadie vlogs and yes I share them all the time 🩵much love peace n be safe and always smile ( makes people wonder ) lol love your music you play as well !!😊
The sound may have been an owl. I LOVED the Milky Way shot. I’m over 65 and I haven’t seen it that clear since my teens. Too much light pollution here. Thank you so much for capturing that shot and sharing with us. Seeing the night sky like that is the main reason I want to get an RV and go out west.
Such a beautiful spot after all the hunting for one. I love how you shot the Milky-way and camp all together. The smell of pine is the best smell to me in the world. I always buy pine candles and plugins... gotta bring the outdoors to me some how. LOL So sorry you had motor issues while on a time crunch. I hope you got your RV up and going by now. Sending hugs and prayers!!! BTW... Will you be joining the new SM site BlueSky?
Wonderful video thought the the spot you picked was great. Sorry to hear about your transmission I've had 4 ford's in my life and the engines were the best the transmissions not so much my last ford was a focus 2018 and the transmission starting going at 40000 miles the dealer replaced it under warranty 20000 miles later it started again dealer did a update to the computer and I traded it in for a buick. I hope everything went well can't wait for sunday.
Sounded like a bugling elk to me. When you said 'scream' I thought you were hearing a horny bobcat or mountain lion-which would've likely set the dog off a lot harder. plus wrong time of year for that.
You did a great job on the commercial, but I'm sorry, Carolyn, Sadie should win the Award for it! It's just so amazing how she can sleep upside down on the passenger seat of a moving rig!🐶😂🤣 I laughed soooo hard through this video!!😂😂😅
Beautiful camp site but the whole time you are traveling in search of that one perfect boon dock spot I’m thinking about all the gas you’re wasting and my wallet hurts for you, not to mention those rough roads that sometimes makes your RV rattle like it’s falling apart and I worry about your RV. 😉 I so enjoy your cooking segments. You put together some interesting concoctions that to me seem strange but always looks delicious in the end. 😋🥰

Thank you. Your comment brought a smile to my face :-)
Wow! Me, I would be crying. Out in the forest and my rig wouldn't go!😮
The transmission is probably expensive as well.
Glad you and Sadie are safe. ❤
Awesome video! The shots of the milky way were incredible!

This landscape really is a happy place and thank you for pointing out the gorgeous contrast with the blackened trunks
I love the piney scenery! Thank you for sharing this! ❤

People who leave trash suck and will be the end of boondocking for the rest of us. 💜🐾🙏🏻✌🏻
Great episode, Carolyn 😺💜
A forest ranger in Utah told me they put those signs there every so often to give vegetation a break and a chance to grow.
I thought for a second, wait, is it Sunday? Settling down to watch now! This is a treat.😊
:-) Enjoy!
Omg, the end of the vid. Holy crap! That is a big deal! Glad you came on saying you did make it, but wow, so sorry you went through that❤
