he never really fit the duelist role. sentinels are really good at watching flanks and so happens that chamber being able to watch 2 angles is too good, but he doesnt have the duelist tools to make space for your team to entry

His tour de force definitely needed a slower fire rate but I don't believe it should've been reduced to a normal op fire rate. Maybe like in between what the old fire rate was & what an op fire rate is.
With all these nerfs they didn't need to destroy the tour de force fire rate instead of just reducing it a bit. And he can probably have his 2nd trap back now that he's finally properly balanced.

Fr people think his tp was overpowered but it was only good for starting round peek. After that it was a lot of trouble to setup the 2nd time and risky too. Honestly they made it easy lmao
Yeah, but the 30 seconds cooldown timer after recalling the Trademark trap is still kind of an overkill. It feels like an eternity. They should decrease the cooldown timer, or have him carry 2 Trademark traps again like in his heydays.
But since it's 1 TP that you place hidden away from the enemy instead of 2, it's a lot harder to break it and shut it down. Chamber will just take it back immediately after he TPs. Definitely not an unreasonable change.

It still special, when you kill someone it made a slow field, that's a strong special feature. When you kill enemy who holding the spike, the other enemy players will be in difficult situation to take the spike out

@@drake_sebastian reduced yes but at least it's not removed , and his ability is still special because he can hold down a whole push , snipe the first guy , switch to your rifle and you can spray or burst anyone who tries to push through the slow. Plus utilities like molly are sooo much better when used with the slowfield, especially when the entry point is narrow, like bind.
Idk about the fire rate. While the other changes are understandable (you gotta admit he was busted). The fast op fire rate is what made chamber really fun. I wish they lowered the fire rate to a lesser degree, still making it faster than the usual op but still a bit slower than how it is now. I think they could've kept the fire rate but remove the slow field that the op creates
If you remove the slow field then its just an awp sure you can have a chance of getting a penta but if the enemy gets control of the site then youre not doing your job as a sentinel

Man hight limit taked out and big radius is something huge you don't realize it? There's a lot of places on the maps where you can take advantages of these both factor but ofc taking the other anchor is a huge nerf but we can't tell after we use the tp by ourselves on the game
The double anchor is actually pretty busted for rotations.... Now he can escape and setup easily but the con is he cant tp across the map anymore which is a pretty big nerf

It was a duelist back then, when we had 2 duelists and a chamber i always said "oh we have 3 duelists" so the main chamber would complain about it and he would play like a sentinel just to show that its not duelist, he woulda die everytime becayse he dont got the skills to be a sentinel, it haves one sentinel then 3 duelists skills

Walking into the site and tping away doesn't create space because you lost the space you gained the instance you tp'd. Gathering information is an initiator's role not a duelist. This is why yoru is a duelist/initiator hybrid because of how his clone can gather information and his ult. Skye and Kayo can enter with their flashes making them a viable entry for triple initiator comps. Killing everyone with ult still doesn't mean he is a duelist because he still can't entry. Chamber is more of an awper/sentinel like how jett is a duelist/awper. According to Riot, Chamber is a Sentinel that puts his body in the line to defend site. So, one Trademark makes sense cause he himself is his second Trademark with a One Tap Gun and quick escape along with the deadliest weapon in the game, his Custom Sniper.

i see, chamber nerfs arent that much of a big deal afterall. As a chamber main, i hate it when the enemy chamber body spams me with headhunter when i invest time tapping head with it. I like the new tp too, just pick it up when sova has ult. The new ult saddened me a bit because it no longer is an ace machine unlike pre-nerf chamber. I also like the new trip when i can pick it up mid-round but can riot atleast give 2 trips instead of one again?

Poor Chamber…the ultimate change is overkill for him. Imho if think Chamber need to be “High Risk High Reward”. The fire rate was right, but i would add a special feature to balance, the special ammo from tour de force must be only TWO, 1 loaded to the barrel and 1 to reload, and u can get the rest of bullets if u kills the enemies.

It would be fun *IF* the tp had infinite range, like you put it down in one spot and can tp any time. Kinda like yoru but less mobile. I think the 13 meter is too restricting and can't really get you out of many situations. The range limit on the trap is also a bit unnecessary, and the ult fire rate change made it absolutely horrible. Chamber ult is now just a normal op with the annoying slow field. It isn't fun for anyone now because they decreased the fire rate, which was the fun part of it.
@@alk4n3 Chamber isn't the best sentinel and never was. Chamber can't lock down a site by himself and never really could. All sentinels had their own gimmicks, like Chamber's tp and guns, Sage's heals and wall, Killjoy's turret and swarms, and Cypher's camera and cages. They all have different skill sets, so you can't say that Chamber is a better sentinel because he is very different from the other sentinels.
They should have never removed Chamber's double trap, and should have implemented that range like KJ for both of his traps. It doesn't make any sense, Cypher has 2 Trip Wires, KJ mains can use an alarm bot and her turret to to watch flank, or alert if someone's lurking, but chamber has only one trap and that too is now has an specific range, lol. 😂😂
He fulfils a different role as a sentinel as compared to the others. Cypher is an information gatherer with no offensive abilities , kj is very well suited for holding one site along with the flanks of that site, whereas chamber is an aggressive sentinel specialising in taking space and moving around flexibly so it makes sense to only give him one trip as he's not supposed to be the one holding flank everywhere
Cypher's trap only hold 1 person so that is a maximum of 2 person held(both trips tripped) meanwhile chamber can literally affect the whole team effectively holding 2 sites

Instead of thinking for a tp setup you can use your tp on a creative ways and take the advantage of a big radius and hight limits is taked out there's a lot of places on some maps where you can take the advantage of hight limits of your tp and big radius and on mean time tp to safety
Tbh, he's still strong. They can never truly balance him without completely GUTTING the idea of him. The core principle of chamber is being able to take a low risk fight when your tp cd is down. Everything supports this idea. The core reason why he's so strong is the instantaneous retreat, allowing him to effectively play contact and second engage or even for retake after first contact. To balance chamber requires one change; it is to make his teleport be a prepped action like Jett. If they did that, chamber would lose his identity and his play rate would crash. I don't see this nerf being overall significant but it does limit his power quite a bit and that trap nerf is unessicary, riot has no ideas how to make him balanced without gutting his kit... And I don't envy the conundrum they've put themselves in.
But chamber TP is a prepped action. Its not like the old jett dash, able to be used at any moment in any place. Chamber can use it at any moment. But only in a place that he has previously prepared. Meaning that the chamber player KNOWS that hes going to make a contact in THAT place. Not in any other place of the map. If the contact doesnt happen, them chamber has to relocate his tp. He cant instanly retreat in any situation like the old jett. He only can instanly retreat if he previously KNOWS that he HAS to retreat

i see, chamber nerfs arent that much of a big deal afterall. As a chamber main, i hate it when the enemy chamber body spams me with headhunter when i invest time tapping head with it. I like the new tp too, just pick it up when sova has ult. The new ult saddened me a bit because it no longer is an ace machine unlike pre-nerf chamber. I also like the new trip when i can pick it up mid-round but can riot atleast give 2 trips instead of one again?

The fire rate was right, but i would add a special feature to balance, the special ammo from tour de force must be only TWO, 1 loaded to the barrel and 1 to reload, and u can get the rest of bullets if u kills the enemies.

It would be fun *IF* the tp had infinite range, like you put it down in one spot and can tp any time. Kinda like yoru but less mobile. I think the 13 meter is too restricting and can't really get you out of many situations. The range limit on the trap is also a bit unnecessary, and the ult fire rate change made it absolutely horrible. Chamber ult is now just a normal op with the annoying slow field. It isn't fun for anyone now because they decreased the fire rate, which was the fun part of it.

@@alk4n3 Chamber isn't the best sentinel and never was. Chamber can't lock down a site by himself and never really could. All sentinels had their own gimmicks, like Chamber's tp and guns, Sage's heals and wall, Killjoy's turret and swarms, and Cypher's camera and cages. They all have different skill sets, so you can't say that Chamber is a better sentinel because he is very different from the other sentinels.
They should have never removed Chamber's double trap, and should have implemented that range like KJ for both of his traps. It doesn't make any sense, Cypher has 2 Trip Wires, KJ mains can use an alarm bot and her turret to to watch flank, or alert if someone's lurking, but chamber has only one trap and that too is now has an specific range, lol. 😂😂

He fulfils a different role as a sentinel as compared to the others. Cypher is an information gatherer with no offensive abilities , kj is very well suited for holding one site along with the flanks of that site, whereas chamber is an aggressive sentinel specialising in taking space and moving around flexibly so it makes sense to only give him one trip as he's not supposed to be the one holding flank everywhere
If every sentinel is about flank watch traps then it would be a pain in the axx to balance them
Cypher's trap only hold 1 person so that is a maximum of 2 person held(both trips tripped) meanwhile chamber can literally affect the whole team effectively holding 2 sites

Instead of thinking for a tp setup you can use your tp on a creative ways and take the advantage of a big radius and hight limits is taked out there's a lot of places on some maps where you can take the advantage of hight limits of your tp and big radius and on mean time tp to safety

They can never truly balance him without completely GUTTING the idea of him.
The core principle of chamber is being able to take a low risk fight when your tp cd is down.
Everything supports this idea.
The core reason why he's so strong is the instantaneous retreat, allowing him to effectively play contact and second engage or even for retake after first contact.
To balance chamber requires one change; it is to make his teleport be a prepped action like Jett.
If they did that, chamber would lose his identity and his play rate would crash.
I don't see this nerf being overall significant but it does limit his power quite a bit and that trap nerf is unessicary, riot has no ideas how to make him balanced without gutting his kit... And I don't envy the conundrum they've put themselves in.
But chamber TP is a prepped action.
Its not like the old jett dash, able to be used at any moment in any place.
Chamber can use it at any moment. But only in a place that he has previously prepared. Meaning that the chamber player KNOWS that hes going to make a contact in THAT place. Not in any other place of the map.
If the contact doesnt happen, them chamber has to relocate his tp. He cant instanly retreat in any situation like the old jett. He only can instanly retreat if he previously KNOWS that he HAS to retreat

IMO This would've been fine if his TP wasn't basically gone for the rest of the round if destroyed. Given how restricted it is even with the range increase, that's just an overkill.
fr they nerfed chamver a little too much. Like yes he needed a nerf to his tp and his op but also destroying headhunter and the tp was too much. The whole reason for his tp was to hold the site and lock it by himself with his trap. Where as cypher and all just sets up traps and hides.
Its a good mechanic. Recall or you loose it. They did not need to touch the trap imo.
As a player who find chamber the most annoying agent, this is a big win for me.
