I honestly expected a lot of geese meat but it turned out to be asshole animals.
Aidy losing it at 3:51 was totally unscripted. Best part.
I love that they're both typically such pros, but stick em in a sketch together and they just crack each other up.
Props Dept.: So, obviously we want plastic meat, right?
Aidy & Kate: No, it has to be real and fresh!
Props: But its gonna stink up the whole backstage area and the stage and some of the audience area!!
Aidy & Kate: Yup.
While filming the sketch-
Props Dept.: Oh God, what have I done?!!
It actually seems like they weren't expecting real meat, judging by their reactions...
I have the feeling it got left out way too long.
I think the opposite happened. They practiced with plastic props, then on show night, they get handed a basket of meat that had been sitting out for 3 hours.
@@davidgalinat4257 Real close. I'm pretty sure that the first time they filmed one of these bits, they ad-libbed the actual explanation.
The very first one of these sketches, nobody put the meat away after rehearsal, so by the time they got to filming the live sketch, it had been sitting out under the hot lights getting rancid for a while. Their reaction to the basket of vile meats was so much better than the actual sketch that from that point on, it instantly became "Every time we do these characters, the meat must be disgusting."
I swear it’s a struggle for Kate to not break character doing this particular skit with her being vegan 😩😭
Every time I see these kind of comments about SNL people, I wonder do you know them personally? They are actors. Just because you don't eat meat doesn't mean you are never around it. How would you walk through a grocery store? Or sit in a restaurant?
Both were magic in this. I love how they nearly broke. Seriously it made me laugh internally! Pure comedy and exudes fun. The best SNL is when you can see the cast having fun! It enriches it so deeply. EVERYONE deserves a smile and a laugh. Especially when it’s about things that are tough to look at, face or accept. Laughter and music are every humans expression. Thank you to SNL to make me laugh. Love! Love to all!

Don’t feel guilty! I didn’t see it before and now I can’t not see it. Temple is a hero and now I’ve google image searched, it has to be a deliberate reference, one of the top results is Temple is wearing literally the same outfit.
YES!! And Aidy (sp?!) looks like the little girl from Ellen (who reminded me of Temple Grandin) who was very smart and had a similar cadence to her speech.

I just watched the other two segments and theres two things I wanna point out: I love when Kate and Aidy do skits together and break!! Its amazing and waaayyy funnier than the originally planned skit. The other thing is that Aidy’s character reminds me soooo much of Tammy!!! 😂
