I was just thinking about how Imbolc and celebrating the coming of spring doesn't make sense for me since I always associate this time of year with the heaviest snows. I love winter and I've been doing some work with the Cailleach lately, so I was thinking about calling it "midwinter" as well. I think you just solidified it for me!
I've been with your channel for a very long time now it feels... Your videos, your energy have really helped me through darker days both in life and in magic. Your channel gave me the push, or rather shove, to get back into my art and back to my magic. I've been such a happier person since I found your channel what feels like a forever ago. I have needed to hear that giggle. I was wondering why my Imbolc wasn't feeling quite so shiny and be hopeful. It is quite hard when it's coldest now and has been nothing but wet and dark here. Money is tight. Space isn't very spacious. You're right though. It is a time for gratitude. If I focus on what I do have and less on what I don't. I want this to be my time of renewal. The beginning of great growth.
I was hoping to hear from you. I hope Imbolc brings you blessings. ❤ I had a mild heart attack last week so I couldn't for a while but am looking forward to a healthy new 2021.❤

I celebrated Midwinter by sorting and organizing ephemera and papercrafting supplies, sort of a spring cleaning/cleansing, even though spring is nowhere near ready to arrive here in Maine. Thank you for sharing your Midwinter adventures, the ice castle, altar tour, and magical recipe were a delightful treat.
I love how you mentioned Selena Fox and global prayers. She is an inspiration to me for this sort of reason too. I sometimes forget magic can be meant for a larger scale. Her perspective keeps me humble so I try to really follow her thoughts and ideas!

I'm jumping the gun to spring and converting an old thrifted board book into a book about some invented spirits of spring - I've given them all names and back stories and everything!! inspired by your spirits of yule video over on the grimoire club. Its sooo much fun. We've had abundant snow here in the UK but it doesn't stick around for long so my little family (of 2 ) get out and play in it as soon as we can. The ice cathedral looked amazing! I love the idea of Midwinter. I live in Minnesota so when I heard Imbolc was supposed to be the "earliest spring" I knew that description wouldn't work exactly for me. I'd like to celebrate spring more around Ostara because Imbolc is usually very cold here, still lots of snowstorms and no sign of new life lol

Yep midwinter is correct. We don't have as much snow as we did this time last year. The bitter cold is causing havoc without the insulation. Water main breaks abound! Here's to warmer weather and more snow!
