In 2004, while my daughter was doing her OE from NZ, and a break from varsity studies, at a prep school just over the hill from High Rocks... we had the good fortune to go on the train as far as Groombridge, that being the limit in those days..... had coffee and jam scones in a compartment of one of the carriages, brought along by a waiter :-)...That gorgeous CR loco....never seen it south of the border before.
Well nothing ran to schedule at the WSR . Whjat happenned with 419 ? It rather disgraced itself, or maybe the footplate crew didn't have the trick of firing it. I saw it on the goods train and assumed the WSR had no airbraked stock.
Thumbs up as always! ✔✔✔✔
Great, Thanks a lot!
