You have me intrigued with the battery chainsaw. Been cutting a lot of wood this year to fill the new wood shed but most of that has been 18+" diameter oak and maple. Will stick with the 20" bar Husqvarna 450 for that. I can definitely see where the electric would handle the limbs and smaller tops. Maybe, just maybe I will try one out!
For spot use there is a time and place, KPO.
Thanks for the review. I've got one of these saws and I love it. The same battery fits my pole saw, hedge cutter, long reach hedge cutter and strimmer. Greetings from north Wales, UK.
Thanks for sharing
Great video Dave. My Milwaukee chainsaw and blower just showed up at my house about 30 minutes ago. Talk about a timely video. Judging by the way Marie effortlessly threw her foot up on the tailgate to remove the chaps, makes me think she could give a fella a swift kick in the rear if he wasn't watching his P's and Q's ;)
Cool and yes she can! KPO.
Thanks for the info. I'm thinking one of these would be very handy to supplement my Husqvarna 345 and 435. The chain saw equivalent of a truck gun.
yes, great for that
Cant wait for the next one to lets us know how the deer bow season is going for you guys. Cool chain saw I might need to get one of those for camping and such as you mentioned.
Robert, thanks for the comment. Here's some inside info for you, stay tuned I've got a successful xbow hunt vid coming out in about a week, KPO.
I love my DeWalt battery powered chain saw. It is not as big as yours nor as powerful but what I like about it, is it is quiet and light. It is great, as you said, to brush up a deer blind/shooting lane. The deer don't know you are there unless they are with in whisper distance. Like you, I even got the wife to use it around the house to take out the suckers that grow every where. She wouldn't touch a gas saw. Where is Camaro Crawlers? Is it/he real. I always get a chuckle when you describe his store and what he's got. The deer corn especially.
Melvin, I don't know if you saw this video or not ruclips.net/video/RGSZd1MwjXg/видео.html but it may answer some of your Camaro's Crawler questions. Battery chain saws have a time and place for me too now, KPO.
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors LMBO. Yeah, I remember now. Have wondered how did you do this with a straight face. Too funny. Thanks for another laugh.
The battery saws have definetly come a long way. thanks for sharing Dave
You bet Mike, KPO.
I don't like the Husgvarna saws but decided to buy their battery 120i for small jobs. The older saws pre 1998 have bad pc boards so you need to remove the battery after each use. I buy luck got the 2020 and really love it. Keep in mind, Let the tool do the work and do not force it.. This saw is cheap but works Nice Vid Dave..
Yes, I love it for small jobs too. Thanks for sharing.
This is the info I wanted. Good job.
Glad it was helpful!
Very informative, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome, I'm getting one
Cool!
I like it how did yougt it so cheep ..it's 270
?
I wonder how all that plastic chain tensioner stuff works in 20 below weather
I will keep you posted, KPO.
Dave I love my battery powered saw. It's great for limbing.
I'm probably a little premature in asking this but my firewood is all cut up, I'm all set for deer season, so onto ice fishing preparation now. My question is where do you purchase the blue foam used to secure your hooks?
I've actually just gotten this stuff from random packaging with stuff you buy, TV, refrigerator, computer and so on, KPO.
How long does it take to get a full charge on a battery and how much do spares cost? Also do you need ear pro when operating?
Totally my bad not mentioning this, about 2 hours on the charger from a dead battery. Much quieter than a gas powered, but if using for a while I like the hearing protection, KPO.
Hi Dave! Does your new saw leak chain oil like my gas husky saw does? Thanks for sharing.
Great question. After I filmed this video in my shop I left the 120i saw on a piece of cardboard for three days just like I showed in the video. No bar oil on the cardboard. The gas saw in the background I did the same thing. Big oil stain from the gas saw. Which I knew for years that one leaked bar oil. But it seems the 120i doesn't leak bar oil. So that's a great plus for a saw I may only use for spot duty. KPO
Respectfully, I would like to caution against angled cuts for felling backcuts. They used to make sense to me, until I learned they are dangerous. No disrespect intended. Feel free to delete this comment; I would have preferred to PM it.
I will look into it, KPO.
I found a shitload of humor in this video...How do you know the infos true ?...have you made observations ?
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah....no
Giver though
Not for every job, KPO.
