Great video. I was surprised you didn’t mention Kilian Dark Lord. Considered by many to be a niche development of this by Alberto Morillas. Coming out in 2018. Dark Lord is very nice probably more ‘wearable’.
Morillas knocked it out of the park with this one (for a designer). Really suprised me. I feel like Bvlgari Man Terrae Essence was his summer fresh version of this DNA.
I love Alberto Morillas, we just seem to click. Morillas does amazing work with leathery oud, cypress, and vetiver, and ironically, for the grandad of the bland designer trends that rule now, Morillas seems to be one of the rare perfumers willing to put out something different for designers - be it for Chopard, Gucci, or Philipp Plein.
A great scent, hard to believe it’s in the Gucci Guilty line. One of the first leather fragrances I loved, and I still love it. It’s still on the websites here in Romania, and for a good price. Every fragrance enthusiast should smell it at the beginning of their journey, or at some point. Cheers, Ramsey!

The reason ,at least my theory as to why it's still so cheap is because even though it's discontinued since no one but lovers of unique scents love it they haven't sold much. And it's such a mainstream designer they produced a lot of bottles so there is still so many of them at discounters. But now that you talked about it it will start to sell fast. Your channel may not have as many subs as Jeremy's or Ashton's but you still have thousands and since your followers tend to listen to only you and many things you like are limited In supply they get sold out or the price rises fast. With Adidas I knew Anooj had it for maybe a year or at least a few months before you mentioned it. I kept looking in on his site and it had not sold in a while I don't think because they had an option for quantity. Then when you got it it was sold out within days,or weeks or something. Plus,did you know that just a while before you mentioned it on eBay they had deals like two bottles the size you had,like 400 mil or something for 20$;. Yup,2 huge bottles of the Adidas cologne..not one cologne and one aftershave. 2 unopened massive bottles of the cologne for 20 bucks. They couldn't give that stuff away. I think vintage lovers didn't think they would like it because it was Adidas and rightfully so because most Adidas aren't good. And lovers of new stuff of course wouldn't order it. You have lots of pull. I'm glad though, because even though prices are higher, you and the Duck are getting more people into vintage and someday that may result in companies making more old school style stuff. Some already have. And ,btw also some unique designers I love in addition to Gucci Guilty Absolute are Narciso Rodriguez for him,Dior Homme, Fahrenheit,Marc Jacobs Bang,and a few others. Anyway,great video as usual. Love these individual reviews. Would love more " vintage fragrances still good in their modern form" if you can think of more that is. sorry about the long comment
Nice review! I’ll have to get my nose on this again because last time I smelled it when it first came out I was into designer fragrances, and was intimidated by it.
I remember hearing all the talk about GGA, and then finally getting to sample it. It wasn't exactly off-putting, but intriguing. The vetiver accord is magnificent, and the leather/bandaid smell is oddly attractive. Also, Alberto Morillas went on to do Dark Lord by Kilian in 2018, just one year later; which is another take on the DNA. I wonder if he used the leather wood ingredient in that, too.
This one smells remicent of Dettol antiseptic, in my opinion. Also, Bvlgari Man Terrae Essence & Francesca Bianchi's Dark Knight smell similar to this. The Bvlgari is bascially GGA combined with TDH & more wearable. Black knight, I'd say, is about the same level of wearbility as GGA, albeit slightly louder.

Love this one. I got my 50ml around 2020 and would carry it in my front pocket all day. Had to hold the bottle, admire the juice color, sniff the atomizer. I have issues. 😬

(i had to leave for work before i finished this vid this morning) when you mention that weird 80s freshness (and alberto morrilas) i thought of the original Xeryus right away....almost has touches that seem like an intro to what would happen in the 90s but with old school masculine stuff as well
Btw,i recommend Gucci Guilty Absolute to Johanna and she bought it and loves it. She said the women's version is if great too .and to me the men's version smells like bandaids ( like many people point out) plus cedarwood . I love it

Well my bottle is 'made in Spain' so I can't tell you. Very surprised if any fragrances other than niche are 'made in the UK', we don't make anything here any more...
Ironically enough I gave this one a second try, and it was coincidentally on the same day when I had a shift as a bartender at grand prix, it was a sunny day in May, and tbh is also the only situation I see myself wearing this fragrance again, and boy the heat did this fragrance the justice it deserved, it smoothed out all the edges for me and became a way more of a well-blended and smooth fragrance to me, is weird, because according to a ton of frag heads, this is a winter fragrance, but imo some of this heavy stuff need some heat to smooth them out

Accidentally stumbled across it in the store, in the official boutique. So even if discontinued, still readily available. Good time to grab it for cheap from discounters for anybody who wants to grab it. I expected more from it to be honest. People make all sort wild claims how outrageous it is, idk, maybe it was outrageous when it just came out, especially from a designer, but for me personally in 2024 and given the point where I am in my perfume journey, it's not that outrageous at all. Bandages on fire? Hell no... we used to burn all kind of crap when were kids, I was always a tomboy 😈so I know exactly what kind of smell would that be if you burn hospital bandages, it would be much more outrageous smell. This perfume is just not. And it's kinda not that great overall, you can feel it's a designer, though a very good one, I mean for a designer it's gorgeous. What I get from it is some kind of industrial smell with leathery properties. If somebody would spill WD-40 on dirty leather gloves, that's how I would describe it. I also asked my friend who's not into perfume at all and she told that it reminds her the smell of farm, like the smell of a cow, which is surprising. She also told that it's really familiar scent from the nigh clubs. It's nice, but not nice enough to get a bottle. When I'm in the mood to wear stuff like that I'd rather reach for Amouage - Reflection M, Amouage - Myths M, Orto Parisi - Terroni or even the original formulation of Fahrenheit or Interlude Black Iris even. They don't smell like GG Absolute at all by any stretch of imagination, don't get me wrong, but give me the same type of mood and much, much better made.
