And the most amazing thing, is when the Lotus leaves us later on in the story in The War Within, the variation on this song is much darker where the children call out but no-one responds.

Fun fact: In this soundtrack, you can hear a single woman singing/vocalizing at the start, followed by a choir of children complimenting the woman’s vocals. These represents the Lotus leading the tenno children in finding their purpose... But if you listen to the soundtrack “Apostate”, you can hear the same choir of children singing still, a little out of sync this time, but the woman’s vocals no longer answers. This represents the Lotus (now Natah) abandoning the tenno and embracing her true Sentient nature, and the tenno now aimless and lost without the guidance of their “mother”...
i feel like she is forced to do so... because lotus still lives in her, why did she pick a helm that looks like the lotus (even with her logo on it)@@KhronicD

The erhu is really the star of this track. It's a bowed instrument with two strings, and the bow is trapped in between the strings, so to play on one you push towards the instrument just like a violin, but to play on the other string you have to push the bow away from the instrument. It's one of my favorite eastern instruments for sure.
Just letting a recomendation for a song that you might like "the only thing i know for real" it is a ost from metal gear rising revengence that i would like to see your braekdown. Keep with the good work
the sorrow is because our space mom (lotus), doesnt want us, her children (the tenno) to fight, but she knows we must, for her for our brothers, for origin system
This music is a song from the game. And it actually tells a story. it begins nicely, as a child, that is on board a ship where life is trilling. Where life is fascinating. Then there is a war. Then child regains the power and understands. The war keeps going, but at the end - you understood what you are. And fight against what is wrong. Knowing who you are.
I tried to say it as much without spoiler as possible. But actually all above is a reference. To the Zariman. To Tenno. If you feel like understanding song and the struggle, feel free to check out warframe story.
Would love to see you react to Chris Christodoulou’s (Risk of rain 1 and 2 composer) Dead bolt, blood on the dance floor. There are a couple other good tracks from the game that I forgot the name of, but I can’t remember the name of them :)
What I like about this track is how it kinda represents the protective nature of The Lotus and their motherly relationship with the Tenno with the calming melody, the lead female vocals, and the choir of Tenno voices. But what I LOVE is how the leitmotifs in this song are common with other songs in the OST that reveal a lot by how they change. Like how in Your Decisions Make You there are similar pieces but there is a slow uplifting build showing the Tenno's journey to fully realize their powers under Teshin's guidance that culminates in the female vocals that could represent The Lotus surging to lift them up. Whereas in Apostate, there is a deep droning that could represent Ballas' influence throughout the track, the choir of Tenno is sad and darker and the prominent female voice that could represent The Lotus is drowned out and lost.
What's worth to note, is that at first you have female voice, than choir of children responding. There is also alternative, sober version of it "Apostate", where there's just children choir singing, with no call back from the female voice. Abandoned children calling for their mother...
This Is What You are gets all the attention, but it's darker version Abandoned is so much more interesting in my opinion. Whereas TIWYA has the call from the female vocals and a response from the choir, in Abandoned there is no call. only the choir mournfully calling out in desperation paired with a horrific drone
Nice reaction as always! Your next reaction video should be Akaza Vs Rengoku from Demon Slayer Mugen Train or Gear 4 from One Piece. Keep up the great work! ❤
