The difference between native American accent to Filipino accent is: we Filipino pronounce the word syllable by syllable.
That's how we've been thought at school
Filipinos followed the IPA for each word. That's why they pronounced it like that.

Heyyyy, I'm in South Africa as well! :) The accent and pronunciation here is diverse. I think Zulu and Xhosa accents are more similar to Filipino accent but not the Afrikaans and English.

Filipinos pronounce the word syllable by syllable. You're just stating the generic facts to the foreigners who try to speak foreign language.
@@screenshooter7826 Syllable is a unit of pronunciation. For instance, the word caramel is usually pronounced by Americans as ker-mel with two syllables. However in Filipino, it's ca-ra-mel, which is three syllables. So Filipinos pronounce words and vowels as they see it.

It's Because in Tagalog, we pronounce the word in every syllables and we pronounce the consonants sound that is why we have the accents like that.
Pero wala naman sigurong maling pagbigkas. Even the American, British and Australian are also different when it comes in pronunciation and accent but it doesn't mean na may mali sa kanila.
Siguro, ang mga pinoy lang ang nagseset ng standard na "mali yan", na "ganito dapat", na "ganito ang tama".
Actually meron ngang ibang bansa na mas weird pa ang pronunciation at accent kesa satin.

Actually both are correct (at least for Americans) . Americans also have accents and different pronunciations which depends where they are from. Like how New Yorkers would say "Nu York". I think the pronunciation of "data" depends on the person though lol.
