I don't think you understand the cost of building your military to withstand Chinese aggression. This is a cost that the Philippines could never do on its own. You should appreciate all the help coming from the US and its allies in the Pacific area.
USA and world have interest in the indo pacific region where 80% trade passes thru..imagine china controlling that part of the sea. then all trade will be delayed or block by 6 months minimum to a year. china want to control it so she will have the strategic advantage over US EU and the rest of the world in trading.. now you know why they are all here.
