Hi! I wouldn't call it a "dying" career, BUT UX field is definitely a red ocean (an ocean that is now a lake) in the US right now. There's so many of us trying to break in, yet with the brutal tech job market we're in right now, not many companies are hiring. Now, it's more difficult than ever to break into UX. It's a sad reality.
