In tennis, I'm considered as a lefty, however, my dominant hand is the right hand. So, my backhand was better than my forehand when I started off. I'm a short person but not very fast so it is a must for me to take every ball on the rise and play near the baseline. I love the feeling of returning a top spin forehand with my backhand on the rise. The shot get empowered by the force of the opponent. Right now my forehand is better with more offensive power while the backhand leans more toward the defensive side by being solid. For me, the key for taking the ball on the rise lies on how good your movement and your ball prediction are. If you can improve those you aspect, taking the ball on the rise is not a difficult skill anymore. The slice strategy is also very good for mixing up. I will try to incorporate it into my game as well. Thank you for the video.
I cracked up so hard when Scott laid down the joke that I missed a good 15 seconds out of the video. I watched it again though...LOL. Great video and tips guys. Loving the new format and keeping it classy as always!

Nice instructions, guys. Thanks. I have a problem with my 1h backhand after previous shot when I found myself 2 or 3 steps inside court area and face with deep next shot. Should I use halfvolley or run off to the back fence?
Дмитрий Громенюк ideally you’re pivoting and using your outside leg to recover an prepare for the next shot behind the baseline. By chance you get stuck taking the ball in the air or even a half volley would be the next best thing. Especially if your intent is to move forward to the net. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and the feedback!
Graf is one of the players that can open up the court with that kind of loopy shot. She can hit the shot inside out or down the line with her forehand. Therefore she was name miss forehand.
Christopher Manning always happy to help but as you can probably imagine our bandwidth is fairly limited these days. What specifically could you use help with and perhaps I can point you in the right direction. We have a endless amount of resources for instruction that I’m happy to refer you to.
Although there's multiple ways to defend heavy topspin off the backhand, what is appropriate for a player depends upon the level. At a high level. Taking the ball on the rise and even flattening it out is a great option! Thanks for watching!

The other option for me is to use heavy topspin backhand down the middle and reestablish neutrality. Depends on how good your backhand is but mine is good. Your suggestions would be better if you can knife the slice.
J Look slicing the ball short is simply one tactic we have at our disposal but there’s plenty of others one can use. As discussed taking the ball early and driving it or dropping back to shape it (topspin) are definitely other options to consider as well.
Give back a slow ball normally not a good option for girls tennis, that’s exactly the purpose of throw up a high ball on the backhand side to get more time for the next ball 🤪
oz turk this one was from the vault and from quite some time ago. Recently we’ve changed the way information is delivered and therefor the dialogue is bit shorter and the demoing a bit more extensive. Hope you enjoy, thanks for watching.
This video immediately reminded me of how Fed handles kick backhand ad serves. This is incredible advise, thanks guys.
Greg B Feds chip off the return is a great example of the instruction. Thanks for watching, we appreciate the the feedback!
Really great video. Will use it next time I play! Would love to see a video for how to hit an approach shot with a one-handed back hand!
Thanks, glad to hear you found the tips helpful! We appreciate the feedback and plan to do much more content involving the one handed backhand!
Smart teaching! Thanks guys!

Hey me too! I also started off right hand dominant in tennis and then my dad made me switch to left because I write with my left hand
Great stuff, would love to see more of those tactical patterns
Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it. More Strategy and Tactics vids to come, stay tuned! 😊
Somewhere in Mallorca, Nadal is laughing. "Defend backhand from heavy topspin .... impossible, no?"
vivahernando1 🤣
LOL
Thanks
Great demo!

When you hit the slice backhand, do you try to take the ball a little early and step in, anticipating a weaker ball coming back to you?
Hi Daniel, taking the ball earlier and getting your weight forward is key for a solid slice!
hii, why don't you make videos about volleying a strongly controlled directed ball
Appreciate the suggestion, we'll put it into the idea bank! Thanks for watching
One handed backhand please

Neil Modino Graf is a great example of
Dominating the court with a forehand. Thanks for sharing!

Do you think this is as effective as trying to drive the backhand flat on the rise? Does this strategy work as well with higher level players?

Pretty good instructions in the video. What if one's playing style is to grind points out? You just want them to hit another ball and make errors.

There aren't other great options besides chipping? No countering that spin with more topspin?

Kick serves to the backhand should be illegal.
Andrew Moseley they can definitely be difficult to defend. Especially from a leftie! 🥴 Thanks for watching!

Unfortunately these guys only have a theoretical knowledge.
