Boston was the better team the Sixers had to close out the series in game 6 they couldn't do it and this is what happens.
While I agree that James Harden did choke as per usual, its criminal to focus so much of this segment on his shortcomings this series. James Harden himself willed this series into a Game 7 in the first place, practically single-handedly winning two games by himself. There was not ONCE this entire series where Embiid was definitively the best player on the court, as an MVP should be. I'm not going to draw comparisons to other MVP candidates and draw parallels, because context matters in all situations. But for the MVP to never come up big in any moment that is legacy defining should speak leagues about him as a player and a leader. More so, its shameful that ESPN will highlight the shortcomings of other players and spend so much time talking about the #2 option when simply, one of the most dominant forces in the league today can't put up more than 15 points in a close out game. Embiid deserves the disdain and chirping from the basketball community, and the only way he can silence those critics is to actually show up for once in a series.
I think people are sleeping on those 2 40 point performances Harden put up.. I think that was to send a message that he should be the primary option, Embiid should play off of Hardens score first mentality.. it’s way more effective!!
It’s soo obvious the NBA trying to protect their newly crowned MVP cause why are they soo focused on Harden when Embiid is the “leader” & literally just won MVP andddddd on top of that he’s worse than Harden in the playoffs literally never been to the conference finals 😂
1). ESPN needs to turn down Perkins’ mic & or FIX their audio issues (chirping noises) 🤦🏽♂️ 2.) Embiid needs to play BETTER! MVP w/NO signature performance. Harden is 33/34 years old
3 things. 1. harden doesn’t deserve that much blame all us fans knew smth like this would happen. 2. Embiid needs more blame, MVP no way. 3. Tatum deserves more credit, he went nuts
The game was obviously more about JT and Boston winning. But honestly idk how Harden is getting all the blame it should be on Embiid. Harden basically won game one 1 and 4 by himself. He didn’t play well in this game but neither did the supposed MVP
I recall Harden scored like 45 points in game 1 and at the end of the game can be heard saying "this is just game 1". Well he wasn't wrong, Harden gave us 1 vintage game and was MIA for the series when Philly needed him the most.
Issue was i dont think Doc Rivers put James Harden and Embiid in the position where they would have had a dominant fame because of lack of game plan to counter bostons defense in the interior. Ball movement stopped and it was your turn my turn and it messed up both Harden and Embiids confidence tonscore in the paint after they were shut down on offense.

When you play that poorly, especially 9 points from James harden, it's not about the coach getting these guys prepared and making them execute. It's about how much they want it. And clearly they don't, we have to start holding players accountable as well it's only fair.
I actually think Doc did a spectacular job considering that his team's talent level was simply less than Boston's.
I only can imagine if jokic put these performances in the playoffs. The media would kill him.
Blame on all of them. They had game 6 in the bag.
He's a horrendous coach. Unlike Erik Spoelstra, he can only win if he has a super team, and even then he usually loses. Doc Rivers cannot coach. He's just a figurehead and a motivational speaker whom people keep handing jobs to.
Dude he's the coach of the team he does deserves some of the heat just like all the other players on that team deserves some of the heat you get blown out by 30 you need to point fingers all the way around y'all care so much about putting the blame on one person
embiid might be the most protected star in the nba at least harden had 2 monster games this series
Exactly.. this would be like people blaming Dwayne Wade instead of LeBron for the Dallas series loss in 2011.. he doesn't even put up the numbers like that in order to justify people blaming his teammates
Lmao doc gonna live forever off that 08 chip
Doc always gets a pass from Stephen a smith.. smith lobbied for him to get the sizers coaching job and failed once again.
He shouldn’t been a top 15 coach. Nowhere close to it.
How about you talk about the MVP who failed to show up again?? Or are they just deflecting the blame from Embiid to Harden because they know they would look like fools for choosing Embiid for MVP and then he shows up and performs like that…. Truly embarrassing for everyone who said Embiid was better than Jokic.
I guess you weren’t listening
Jokic did the same thing. And blew a 3-1 lead before that. Relax.
The MVP was based off the regular season and also before Embiids injury. MVP has literally nothing to do with anything post season related
@Jay Moore So not Ever compare Embiid to Jokic. DO NOT COMPARE THE PATHETIC EMBIID
bruh did you watch the entire video ??????? did you just go straight into the comment without watching the entire video?
Embiid shot 27% in the series. 76ers won 2 games cuz of Harden. And here’s ESPN blaming Harden and not the worst MVP in NBA history
The media (SAS and Skip) trying their best to blame Harden MORE than their MVP choice. Don’t fall for it. 😂
I noticed that..he threw his teammates under the bus 😂

Looooool. Even as a Sixers fan that was not good.
Same thing happened in 2021 he is the WORST Leader in the league
Best game I’ve seen in a while. Loved the back and forth at the beginning but was ready for the blowout. I needed this. Love Perk
Best game? It was a blowout how is that a good game….
@@RJTradess As a nuggets fan it was a great game 😂😂
So Embiid getting a pass?
I guess you didn’t hear when Stephen A said that as bad as Embiid played, Harden played worse
@@MrShanester117 Harden isn't the MVP and didnt cry about getting it for years
@@MrShanester117 he’s not taking into account Embiid has been below average all playoffs. Harden won 2 games for the Sixers, Embiid maybe a half a game? And this game in particular, he was arguably worse than Harden given his stature.
he said all of that tf are you talking about lol@@Jaywrites23
Doc Rivers bout to be blowing 3-1 leads with Ben Simmons in Shanghai.
“Don’t let James Harden trick y’all” 😂
Embild... has a TEAR in his Knee...... His Knee... stop it... i would of not played...
Simmons had 5, but he also had 13 assist, 8 reb, held Trae to a terrible shooting night...but Embiid's 8 turnovers and I believe 4 turnovers in the 4th quarter didn't factor in losing...Simmons was on the floor when Sixers had those large leads, but when the lead disappeared it was all on him...we are seeing Embiid true colors...injured or not he is always hurt.
🎯🎯🎯
I TOLD yall, Simmons had issues yes, but Embiid was in ZERO way blameless. This is Embiid no flailing to find yet another scapegoat and nobody holding him accountable because yall don't want to hurt his feelings or whatever. Get him out of here.
Facts
After all these years, I believe Harden is purposely throwing these games possibly to erase massive Vegas gambling debts. Nobody could consistently play this bad and make those types of turnovers unless another agenda was in play.
👀💰🧐
Or he just doesn't want to be in the playoffs. Something is going on and the NBA should investigate it.
I been saying it as well. Something is not right
That’s what I be thinking
"Sixers wilted like a cheap tent" - SAS 😂😂😂😂
Don’t forget about Nick Nurse as a potential replacement. Personally, I think he would make a big improvement for the Sixers
Great candidate

“God bless America” had me rollin 🤣 🤣 6:39
Embiid is the biggest disappointment in the post season. Not deserving of MVP, prior to playoffs.
The players quit? You mean Embiid quitting? Thanks Perk for being racist, you gave a pity MVP to someone so undeserving. Great work
They ain’t even wanna bring it up… the fact they giving the brunt of the blame to James harden is comical.. joell embiid is the MVP.. he’ll get the praise when they win why not the blame when he gets clamped by Al horford
Perk can’t vote in the player awards. He’s an ex player
@@classicredwine doesn't matter. You do know that they now release how many votes one has right? They should fire Doc because not only is he terrible in game 7 but even when he’s winning a series he never finishes the job and ends up losing anyway. Philly needs to go get Monty Williams asap
is Monty Williams good at making adjustments though? Suns fans complained about him also
@@kaysheye7784 they complain about him without realizing he couldn’t adjust because suns don’t have any depth and two of their starters are injured. Suns fans got him fired

I don't really feel bad for Doc because he is going to land a job quickly, a coach like him won't be out of a job for long. Harden and Embiid looked disinterested in playing yesterday so it should come as no surprise that they got blown out. The 76ers were never a real championship contender anyway.
Disinterested and probably fatigue
Suns have an opening and some talent.
The way they ignored Joker tells you how much they respect the Game of basketball
James win them two games that’s more than enough for Joel to do the rest…I’m not even a harden fan but it’s not his fault sas don’t know basketball he just yells for no reason
Bro he went scoreless in the 4th quarter in 3 straight games. Im not putting all the balme on him because he did will 2 wins for them, but c'mon. That was pathetic.
6 total shots and 0 points in 3 4th quarters. Those two games don't give him a pass from that. You could pull someone off the street for that production. Utterly pathetic.
I’ve given perk a lot of smack this post season but he was on fire here. Preach big perk
The fact that harden was placed in the top 75 over klay is insane
Klay choked this year as well.
@xavierb1333 and last year too. Klay hasn't been the same since his injury
Harden is just unlucky his prime by the rockets was unlucky
K lay stunk it up this year too

Who cares?? He gets a pass for playing horrible in game 6 and 7?? He absolutely killed them last night. Another choke job in a game 7.
@@jeffreyval9665Harden at least carried them to 2 wins on his back.. he's not the number one guy on this team.. Your MVP gotta show up for game 6 and 7.. if Joel was carrying his end of the load and the Celtics still won, then you can point the finger more to Harden
@@adrianpheiffer9960 naw. His stats in those 4th quarters are an absolute JOKE.
@Adrian Pheiffer forget his 2 games. He didn't do anything in 6 or 7. Embiid didn't do anything either they both sucked ( Harden was worse ) but a guy like Harden has to show up in these close out games. Boston was the better team the Sixers had to close out the series in game 6 they couldn't do it and this is what happens.
around the 4 minute mark that bird in the background wont shutup. lol. made me think oh yeah, the green screens, working from home, must be nice lol
Well said, it’s crazy how ESPN is focusing so much on everyone but Embiid. He should be the first on the docket for all the criticism.
1). ESPN needs to turn down Perkins’ mic & or FIX their audio issues (chirping noises) 🤦🏽♂️
2.) Embiid needs to play BETTER! MVP w/NO signature performance. Harden is 33/34 years old
So Perk is Joel still your MVP pick... 😂
Accountability.... Y'all don't poses it
james harden literally the aaron rodgers of the NBA right now.
Aaron has a ring tho
Not really because Rodgers actually won a championship.
Joel is
Man you folks are illiterate AF....dude said "aaron rodgers of the nba right now" and you morons are like...."but AirRun won a reeng dough"
This is shameful, ESPN should have half of the segment focusing on Joel Embiid. We have been putting Joel on potentially being “that guy” for years.
Love big perks breakdown of embiid’s disappointing performance
Perk is reaching goat status with these monologues 😂😂
“Simmons had 5 in that game”😭😭😭
Molly owning Stephen A at the end is the funniest thing she’s ever done
3 things.
1. harden doesn’t deserve that much blame all us fans knew smth like this would happen.
2. Embiid needs more blame, MVP no way.
3. Tatum deserves more credit, he went nuts
These 2 love their buddy Doc lmao
Joel Embiid got his mvp and stopped hooping
Perks, don't forget to held your accountability for MVP race.
now should 76ers consider trading joel and james harden !?
one thing i like is SAS always so respectful and give accolades before disagreeing with you, just so you dont take it personally
The game was obviously more about JT and Boston winning. But honestly idk how Harden is getting all the blame it should be on Embiid. Harden basically won game one 1 and 4 by himself. He didn’t play well in this game but neither did the supposed MVP
the "god bless america" from perk killed me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I recall Harden scored like 45 points in game 1 and at the end of the game can be heard saying "this is just game 1". Well he wasn't wrong, Harden gave us 1 vintage game and was MIA for the series when Philly needed him the most.
he dropped 42 in game 4 and hit the game-winner in that game as well, also had an excellent game 5
You guys are being WAY too soft on Joel "MVP" Embiid here. He's the star player, and didn't get the job done!

This is how narratives work
Issue was i dont think Doc Rivers put James Harden and Embiid in the position where they would have had a dominant fame because of lack of game plan to counter bostons defense in the interior. Ball movement stopped and it was your turn my turn and it messed up both Harden and Embiids confidence tonscore in the paint after they were shut down on offense.
No excuse they had the ball in hand
