i love how u answered that how to find ur style question, cuz it rly is true. figuring out what looks good on u (colors, silhouettes, texture, etc) is literally the only way to find ur style !!! ur tastes will naturally bleed into everything else so ur “aesthetics” still always show thru, but then u can see the amazingness of the randomest shit at the thrift store bc u know that neckline is perfect for u or u know that color looks amazing on u. and THEN even if what you’re wearing isn’t “trendy”, it will look so harmonious and good on u that everyone will think u look great even if they usually wouldn’t like that style. JUST BE YASELF!!
dude, you actually have no idea how much your wisdom helps me, when you talk you helped me so much, my outfit today was huge overalls and a red paul frank shirt but the overalls were wayyyy too big, and right off the bat that made me conscious of everything, so today was hard because of many things and watching this man, you gave me solid ground to think and reflect so thank you.
The advice you have about avoiding sticking to a specific aesthetic is spot on. It is totally limiting and pushes people into buying into microtrends and not necessarily stuff they really like and feel confident in.
