Hi. I like ur teachings. I want to ask if I am to use traditional ingredients like melon seeds and acacia pods mixing them with maize crushed seeds. Where will I get their crude protein from since they are not given in the universe standards. I want an answer pls. I am preparing a practical activity for my learners that is to be carried out tomorrow.
Apologies for the late response! You have to crush each of those seeds separately then take to Research labs for Analysis. It's from there you will know the percentage of crude protein, crude fibre, ether, Ash and others even metabolizable energy.

The higher the mm of the feed the lower the protein content normally cos fingerlings required more protein than Table sizes. Now to answer Ur question: 2mm Avg CP 48%, 4mm Avg CP 42% 6mm Avg CP 36-38%.

The method used is a try and error method, however u can as well use Pearson Square method

My fishes are 2 months old from the day I bought them. Do they need more protein now. What percentage of protein do the need
Yes they need more protein, anything btw 44-48cp is fine for another 2months. After this, you can subject them to 36-42cp
Gnc is 45%

Groundnut cake is a by product obtained after extraction of oil. The cake contains 45-60% protein, 22-30% carbohydrate, 3.8-7.5% crude fibre and 4-6% minerals (Desai et al 1999a)

Blood meal is used as an alternative not a total replacement for fishmeal! Blood meal is around ₦400/kg while fishmeal is around ₦1600-2000/kg

100g of salt is ok for a 100kg feed. Premix usually vitamin. Methionine and Lysine are essential Amino Acids that are ready made additives. Salt, Dcp or bone meal and Biotics (medications for your animals) also are additives.

Hello! 10% stated in this video is the percentage inclusion. Which means if u are producing 1000kg feed, you will add 100kg bloodmeal.
